Yep... the Guide's Choice are awesome rigs from the looks. I'm gonna get one for my Ruger SBHH after Christmas ....
Great picture of Jeff Quinn, who is a member here. Maybe Jeff can comment on what he thought of the rig.
Well in years past I had Safariland holsters, model 25 with the belt with ammo loops from my S&W mod29 44 w/8 3/8" barrel. Also a shoulder rig fro my S&W mod19 357 6" barrel.
When I moved on to the S&W 1006 I got two style one is an OWB canted that carries ver close to the body, the other is a Accumold holster with thumb strap for better security & protection from the elements, I used for woods carry, this helped retain the gun while walking, climbing or riding.
For the Glock 29 I have a UTG ballistic nylon holster w/ extra magazine pouch for the same security & protection from the elements reasons.
For conceal carry I have the JS Kydex IWB http://www.jsholsters.com/ (http://www.jsholsters.com/) very close fitting and secure but with longer periods of wear the very top edge can irritate and I find myself adjusting the ride a little.

Very nice rig. I like lhe looks of that a lot
tight to the body cross draw. I think its
made backwards gonna be hard to draw with
his right hand LOL:)

Well last week I bit the bullet and ordered the Diamond D holster. 185$.... Not cheap, but everything I read says its a quality piece.

Patiently waiting for the review.
I bought a survivalsheath.com chest holster for my 10mm. Very comfortable for long hikes, sort of concealable, kydex as I lived in NW montucky(rains and snows lots). Easy to get pistol out from under weatherproof clothing.
I also have a Diamond D chest rig for my single actions.
Both rigs are well made and very useful.

That looks like a nice setup for the outdoors easy on and off too. Right now i only have a xm-15 and its kind of hard to get your pistol in and out of it. Let us know how you like it when you get it.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts CW on the new Diamond D rig when you get it. Will be waiting on your report. Thanks,
I got a email from Diamond Leather, my holster will be shipped out early next week. So with luck ill see it before next weekend!
Looking forward to this, after reading the many testimonials of the quality and fit. This is gonna be great!
I'm hoping I can have a holster made for my PMR that will work on the same harness. I like to carry the PMR while riding the ATVs. I also carry the 10, but most times I do not need all that horse power and the fun little fire breather is so light and fun to shoot, while providing enough power for my needs.

Still waiting....
In the mean time, I have come across another option for carrying...
http://www.hillpeoplegear.com/Products/InDetail/KitBags/tabid/922/Default.aspx
This may make for a even better option for when I am in less ''gun'' friendly locations. Plus may work for trips on the bike (on road) as well...

I haven't had to opportunity, (need) to really use it yet. I have carried in it about 6-8 times and so far I LOVE IT! In aug I'll be heading north on our yearly rides and I'll be packing the 20 in this rig.

Ordered a new Diamond D Custom Leather "Guides Choice w/Mag pouch today. Appears to be what I've been looking for to use when hunting/fishing.
Should work great with my Glock 20 & 21.
Wow. :o
Ordered 6/19/14. Guy said they had one made. Shipped 6/20, received this morning, 6/23. Shipped on Friday, received before 10:00 AM on Monday, Alaska - Virginia.
It takes longer to send a note to the next town here in VA. I can't believe the USPS did anything this fast (Priority Mail).
Quality of holster appears outstanding. Very comfortable. Perfect fit and no defects. Will report after using it in the field for a month or so.
I have a Simply Rugged Chesty Puller Harness, it takes any of Rob's Sourdough Pancake holsters for revolvers & also the matching style holster for autos, don't remember the name of that line without looking it up .... :-\ FWIW, I've never owned one for the autos, but have carried everything from a 6" N Frame to a 3" GP100 in the rig and really like it. It was designed for fishing in Bear Country, to carry a large bore revolver inside waders.
Anywho, when I traded into my Gen 2 Glock in November, I didn't have time to order a Simply Rugged holster before I left for an Elk Hunt in Wyoming on the 30th. So, I fabbed a Kydex in Hunter Orange based on the Sourdough Pancake design. It works so well I haven't bothered to order a Simply Rugged holster for the G20. I didn't have the time to put a mag pouch together so I used a single pouch from Wilderness Tactical, the makers of The Instructor Belt, in Arizona that I already had. Again, it has worked so well that I haven't got back to the Kydex fabbing yet .... ;D
I really like the setup and it is easy to change out holsters if I want to carry a revolver. I carry it several times a week on my back country trips.
Cwlongshot....
I'm trying to decide WHICH pistol I want a Guides Choice for...
G20SF w/ FF3 (eventually a/ 6" KKM) 10mm
Fusion Hunter 6" 1911 10mm
Ruger SBH Bisley Hunter 7.5" bbl .44M
I know I want a Diamond holster .... but I can only afford one ANYTIME soon.
Suggestions, anyone? (Leaning towards the Ruger or Fusion due to weight).
I'm thinking of getting a Guides Choice holster for my Kimber and was wondering if anybody uses one while bowhunting and if it interferes with the string.
Thanks,Billy
I have a guides choice for my Glock 20, love it8)
Now that you mention it! I know someone who makes a holster similar to the one David Johnston of Diamond D makes ..... me! :D
Here's mine ... at a better price point and more affordable.

Nice holster Panther Creek and a great price I think I'm going to have to try one. I going to sell the Kimber and go back to my glock so as soon as it sells I will order one.
I saw the Panther Creek mentioned on another forum......they do look enticing.
Do the PC chest holsters have mag pouches too?

This company does not appear to be a credible business; I would advise extreme caution and consider all other alternatives before engaging with this company.
BUYER BEWARE!!
Just my opinion and experience with them (and several others).
redbaron007 is right...
Mark from Panther Creek Gunleather took my full payment on 11/16/14 and has not delivered a holster and will not respond to dozens of attempts for a refund.
BUYER DEFINITELY BEWARE! :o

After sending an email and leaving a phone message, I received a call back from Mark, stated he was President/Owner of the company.
We spoke for a while. Unfortunately, he has endured the ills of a start up manufacturing business....lots of business, lots of things to do and figuring out what to do to enhance/fix different things. By his comments, I fully believe he is doing what he can to fix and grow his organization. He was very apologetic for the delay and mis-communication.
I'm waiting for the holster and hope it is the quality I expect and they advertise......I feel it will be.
This week marks five or six MONTHS from the time I ordered my woodsman from Panther Creek Gunleather and was given a three week wait time... I got the notification today that they cancelled my refund request. So, no holster, no refund, out $87. I sent him a last message about a month ago saying I was just done trying and calling and to only bother filling the order if he felt like it was his responsibility as a businessman but that I was done chasing him. Sometimes we lose money getting our pocket picked and sometimes we pay a business to make a product and they flat out refuse to do so... either way, not worth chasing it anymore and had to go with other options for the three chest holsters I have bought since then including one for the 20sf I got in Feb.

VERY unfortunate and I'm sorry to read of it...
I waited a lil longer then first estimated on mine. But the company as upfront and east to get ahold of and communicated well with me about it.
I really like the holster, I do not use it allot, but its there for when I need it.

A sometimes in an attempt to save a few pennies these scumbags prey on our greed and get away with good folks hard earned money. My Guides choice was at my door step in two and half weeks. I also am very very fond of the Grzzly tough chest rig.
