Title: 10mm Rocks in American Handgunner
Post by: sqlbullet on November 07 2015 12:09:39 PM MST
Pretty good review of Rock Islands 10mm offerings in the January/February 2016 issue.  They reviewed 5 models, extolled the virtue of these budget 1911's and even commented on the wide variety of 10mm ammo they found.

I know, another 1911 article.  But very good press for our favorite round and good info on the Rock Island handguns.

Title: Rock Island 'Round-up': 10mm Firepower Article
Post by: Zephyr on November 07 2015 07:10:00 PM MST
New article featuring Rock Island Armory 10mm's in American Handgunner Jan./Feb. 2016 .  Story appears on page 60 of this issue, and it's worth checking-out for those considering a 1911 from these folks.  Several models are fired with 2" groups at 28 yards [yes that's right:  84 feet]  being the norm.  Author also fired the ' The Big Rock' Hunter, a six-inch slider.  Should make an excellent 'hog stopper'.  Good info for those considering a RIA for a future purchase.  A lot of quality for the money it seems.
