Title: Alien Gear question
Post by: Sniper711 on November 05 2015 08:57:47 AM MST
Got a IWB for my Beretta 92FS  that is giving me headaches..if I get it positioned where it's comfortable my body seems like it's putting too much pressure on the holster and I have hell drawing the pistol out and it sticks . If I reposition the holster to where I can draw and replace the pistol fairly easily , it's very obvious that I am carrying a weapon ! ..I might as well open carry ...that obvious
Is it possibly due to my stature ? I'm 6'1" and 160#  I don't have a six pack core but my waist and center are fit , thus the issue with printing

How broken in is the holster?  My Alien Gear what really tight until I sweat into it pretty good a few times and had been using it for about a month.  This, IMHO is the big advantage of the Crossbreed supertuck.  The kydex shell of the super tuck means tight retention with a smooth draw/reholster regardless of how my pants fit.

Even after break in, the Alien gear never re-holsters as easily, and is slightly more resistant to a draw.  It gets used because the full coverage shell protects my pants better from the muzzle of the gun, and because the kydex in my Supertuck cracked and I haven't sent it in to be fixed yet.

Holster is new , guess I might try wearing it for a while without gun and see if it conforms better , then try with gun and see if it improves

I'm 6'0 ,little heavier but I use a patriot concealment holster every day.and I carry a glock 21....great concealment and you can reholster with one hand.
