"High-end ammo maker Advanced Munitions International will invest more than half a billion dollars creating its headquarters in Alcoha, Tennessee, which is just outside of Knoxville."

Looking to see what ammo they will offer...http://www.advancedmunitions.com/ (http://www.advancedmunitions.com/)
Their 10mm JHP uses an XTP bullet at 1270 fps and 645 ft/lbs. Not bad.
The problem is they aren't found in very many stores. Only 3 dealers within 100 miles of where I live, the closest is 70 miles away. Perhaps this expansion will make them more available.
They look very "gimmicky" with their Black Ops line of ammo and the guy all dressed up in riot gear. They need to tone down the wannabe level.
I'll stick with the old Silver tips... still got 5 boxes from about 4 yrs back.
But what really turns me off is the high cost of 'high end' bullets made with easily available components like the XTP and AA#7

Yea, the whole "Tacti-cool" thing is off the charts on their website. Random pictures of F-22 Raptors just because.
I've got a box of their 75 gr BTHP I've been meaning to test. Nothing special, just a 75 gr Hornady BTHP, so I expect the results will be a relatively short neck and lots of fragmentation, with good penetration. It was a decent price for a heavy OTM, though.
Some of their products are just reasonably decent ammo at a fair price. Other stuff is gimmick BS that could get someone killed, like the light weight frangible hollow point pistol ammo.
