Title: Longshot and the 180 XTP

Loaded up some 180 Grain XTP

Starline Brass New
8.6 Grains of Longshot
1.260 COL
CCI Large pistol primers.

Shot from my LW Longslide 6" BBL
average 1368 FPS with Std deviation of 10 FPS 5 shot string

Shot from my RIA commander length 1911
Average 1244 FPS with standard deviation of 4 FPS 5 shot string.

Yea not bad and without any pressure signs at all. Going to run the through the model 29 tomorrow. A what was impressive is the RIA a Reeder custom and the consistency of that load from that gun. LW chambers are tight but the RIA must be really tight or the barrel length and chamber are optimal for the combination. Std Dev of only 4 FPS wow that tight.

Ran a few magizines of this load through the Model 20 Longslide and the accuracy is outstanding 4" group at 75 yards. Shooting from a rest off the bench.

Thanks for sharing this!!! I have everything except the Starline...but it's on order. Will cook some up and try it out with the G40 and the 4" 610.
