I asked this question on another forum but I haven't gotten a definitive answer as of yet.
I have made up my mind that my next 10mm will be an all steel gun (this will undoubtedly make Intercooler happy ;)). Though, I would like the long slide capability in Glock. I am thinking of getting a G40 upper for my Gen 4 20 frame. I was just wondering ahead of time if it will work.
I know they won't be available for a while.
Thanks.
Doesn't the aftermarket already have long slide setups for it?
Yes. Lonewolf does, though I think they are compatible with Gen 3 only?
I could slap a LWD on my Gen 3, though I would rather go with the Gen 4 Glock system.

They work fine with Gen 4 frames. Gen 3 RSA's only, though. The additional slide mass minimizes/negates the composite spring advantage. The open-top long slide is still heavier than the OEM 4.6" slide. If you don't
want a heavier slide, there are a lot of creative methods to lighten it.
Thanks.
