I hope these firearms don't end up as man hole covers! :o

When I saw the source - MSN, that was enough for me. These people really are delusional. So what if he had a cache - I haven't read where he hurt anyone? I am sure the idiot liberals in California probably think of him as the anti-Christ JUST for having A gun...........
My guess is they will be handed out to illegal's so they can "defend" themselves properly????????? :-\

2000 TONS of ammo? That is 75 million 308 rounds. I find that a little hard to believe
Thats a lot of collecting.

I think it is just 2 tons not 2000.
I haven't seen any real details on the poor guys' guns, but it looks like he was just a collector who did a better than average job of keeping his interests unknown to those around him. Truth be told, there are people in this country who have 'collections' far outnumbering what this man seems to have acquired. About 10 years ago, I did some electrical work for a gentleman who had around 8k firearms, and approximately 4 million rounds of ammunition. The bulk of his collection were rifles, and he liked to trade work for guns. I seem to remember getting a Freedom Arms Premier Grade 475 Linebaugh, and a T/C Encore with about 10 different barrels/calibers in trade for my work, as he said he had no particular use for handguns.
Mobile version of the story says "two thousand tons", hence my comment, lest anyone think I am nuts.

Two tons is what I assumed they meant as well. That is more reasonable. 75K rounds is well prepared. Although I would have been really impressed if it had been two-thousand tons!
Down here in LoUiSiAna we would call him a good neighbor! ;D
Same here in Texas. Glad to see you here Shadow.
