Thoroughly! That's my next purchase. Have you run any Underwood or Buffalo Bore high test loads through it?

Not yet, until I can figure out a way to use a stronger recoil spring without effecting reliability I will not try the hotter rounds. So far the hottest I have run through it is Winchester Silvertips. I am going to try a heavier Wolff spring and add a heavier mag spring to see if that will correct the feed issues others have encountered by just upping the recoil spring. I also got in contact with Henning and he said, while he doesn't offer a cone guide rod for it at present, he is planning to. Until then I will leave the hotter rounds for my steel Rock.

My main concern is that Wolff won't have the proper +10% mag spring for the 12 rd compact mags and I'll be left trying to cut down a full size mag spring, hoping it will work. Anyone have any suggestions?

Full size spring/follower will fit just fine.  No cutting necessary.

Good luck.

Those Compact model's unlike the fullsize are best kept to mild fodder. Also the mags are unlike the K10s. Been there done that with Compact.

Just got a note from Henning. He says the compact guide rods will be available in weeks. He said he will put them uo on his website as soon as they are available.

Did you try a stronger mag spring? Any info you have would be appreciated.

So, just use a full size mag spring like it was a a + 10%? Is that what you're suggesting?

I'll be honest.  I wasn't able to get my compact steel to run reliably.  The K-10 mag spring "fits" and since springs force are proportional to their compression, it should have more force.

I really wanted to get the pistol to run reliably, but I wasn't able to get there.  The closest is with mild loads with lighter springs.

I love the feel of the pistol.  I currently have a 22# spring in it and have run Underwood and hotter reloads through it.  It is a hoot to shoot that stuff, but it will run rounds into the bottom of the feed ramp now and then.  Sometimes it will get through three mags without a hitch, then I'll have three misfeeds in a single mag.

The one thing I haven't tried is a tight flat bottom firing pin stop to slow down the forward stroke of the slide.  The problem as I see it is the strong tendency for the nose of the next round to dip down when being stripped from the magazine, even when stripped by my thumb.  I cannot get that to change with all my efforts.

I hope you more success than I have had.  I went with a CZ2075 as my main carry (9mm) and that has run more than a thousand rounds of my chosen defense ammo and hasn't had a single hickup.
