Title: Original Glock 29 Sub Compact
Post by: The_Shadow on June 17 2012 02:24:30 PM MDT
Even though I love my S&W's...This is my carry piece these days!  Shown with the G-20 15 round mag dressed with the A&G sleeve and the factory 10 round with the Pearce plus 0 grip extention.

After years of carrying various firearms, I too, have decided to carry the G29. All things considered, can't think of a better weapon for the task.

+1 on Glock 29 fan.  It was my first 10 mm that I bought and still one of the more useful.

I love my 29SF.  It hasn't hiccuped yet, but it needs a big brother.

Nice 29! I don't know why people think Glocks are ugly, I think they look awesome.

Nice Shadow! I carry my 29SF more than any other Glock I own. It just simply does it all and you can NEVER feel under gunned with it in a CCW role.

I went and bought a G20SF yesterday. Just cuz. Looking forward to cooler weather so I can rotate it in as a daily carry piece. Every 10 fan needs to own the pair!

One of my main reasons for carring the Glock 29 was cost...I was carring my S&W 1006 for years, but I didn't want to give up the S&W should something happen in juristrictions other than my own or have it stolen and not beiing able to re-cover it or replace it.

The weight and size of the G-29 are big plus while carring in the waist band, I'm using the JS IWB Holster I bought slightly used from a fellow.  This is a KYDEX  http://armory.jsholsters.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=2060 (http://armory.jsholsters.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=2060) Also fits my G-30  ???

I just got my first 10 about a week ago.  A Glock 29.  From what I found about it its, a Gen 2.5.  Very minor holster wear.  300 New brass arrived yesterday and 200 bullets coming tomorrow.  Cant wait to start working with it.  Got 150 rounds included with the deal and I am really loving this gun.

My glock 29 was the second hand gun i purchased (my first 10mm).  My first handgun was a hk usp 40.  I love it, the only thing that would make it better is if it were 10mm.  My second 10mm purchase was the kimber 10mm stainless target.  I love it too!

The glock 29 made me fall in love with the 10mm round and the kimber didn't hurt either!

The 29 has been my EDC for the last year. I carried the Kimber Target 10 before that for years. The 1911 is a big gun for CC but I made it work.
I've got the 29 in Galco OWB leather and forget it's even there.

Lately been thinking about the 27, makes the 29 look big. Got to shoot one recently and liked it, even easier to conceal. Not parting with the 29 or Kimber, just liking the 27.

I too have a JSHolster for my G29.  Nice thing about it is that it can also serve double time as a holster for not only my G30 like you, but also my G20, and G21 as well.

Another 29 fan here. When I have room to carry it the 29 is my carry piece.
I'm right now using a Fobus Paddle with mine.

:o

... own the pair!?!

Don't forget their larger cousins. The G20 and the G29.

I would like to own all four of them one day. Please don't remind me that they come in different versions (generations).

In my book the G29 is simply one of those must haves, covering needs and wants, with firepower to spare.  And partially depending on where one lives it's still easy enough to conceal most of the time.

Afterwhile I did finally cave and picked up a Gen 3 G20.  When it comes to handguns that hold an edge in firepower that still aren't oversized and require only relatively minimal maintanence and can take a beating, it is hard to beat any of the 10mm Glock platforms.
