Title: ARMSCOR 180 FMJ
Post by: Torro on June 04 2015 10:11:54 AM MDT
I bought 3 or 4 boxes locally last month to break in a new G2osf. It shot pretty well so I bought a case online.  The ammo from the case has a different bullet than the stuff I bought locally. I believe the case ammo  is newer production, although there are no production dates on any of the boxes, just lot info. Anyway, the older ammo has a yellow brass-like metal , and the newer bullet is your typical copper color.  The metplat is approx .23 on the yellow stuff and .25 on the copper bullet. For the heck of it I chrono'd 5 shots of each. The Older Yellow stuff had an ave.fps of 1161,and the copper stuff had an ave.fps of 1137. All in all a pretty decent practice round, feeds great and pretty accurate.  T

Thanks. I have thought about buying some of this for range use.

BVAC used the lighter colored bullets and eventually did/were bought by Armor for manufacturing. Probably boxes of the crossover.
