Title: What to get with 1006 funds?
Post by: Intercooler on May 15 2015 07:54:52 PM MDT
It will be shipping out next week and the thinking wheels have been turning  :)

I think I'm good on revolvers and nothing peeks my interest there. That gets me leaning towards picking up another Semi of some sort. Here are some probables:

- CZ Accu-Shadow in 9mm http://cz-usa.com/product/cz-75-sp-01-accu-shadow-9mm-black-3x18-rd-mags-by-cz-custom/  I'm told this is one sweet piece!
- CZ Tactical Sport in 9mm http://cz-usa.com/product/cz-75-sp-01-accu-shadow-9mm-black-3x18-rd-mags-by-cz-custom/ It has an awesome trigger, but plastic and the frame is an odd finish.
- EAA Xtreme Gold Match 9mm or .45ACP https://eaacorp.com/portfolio-item/witness-match-xtreme-tanfoglio/ I don't know if I need or want a 6" 9mm. I was more thinking about getting this in .45 and Rowland it.
- Grand Power P40L in 10mm http://www.grandpower.eu/kategoria-16-clanok-437-detail-p-40l#ad-image-0  This would be the 4.25" model, which is a size I don't have... Maybe the 5" version is the better buy?

I really only have the one 9mm pistol (borrow the Wife's for the second) and think I need another one given how much of it I shoot. Not much target fodder for the Rowland unless you reload. Do I need another 10mm  ??? :o

Check out the Sig .357  1911 Nightmare.

Fired it again today, no problems at all and it's a shade below my 10's.

I had one 1911 and didn't care for it too much.

You should spend the money on reloading equipment. You will get another great hobby and your ammo expenses will drop.
Within a year you'll have more money to spend on the pistol or rifle you want to add to your collection.

I can always piece that together. Gotta keep the pistol money as pistol money... keeps it out of the Wife's want list :)

If you want another 10mm i would hold out for a glock 40 and use the rest on reloading stuff and glock accessories.
But if you want a 9mm id have to grab one of the cz.

The Sig is nice, except for the capacity. Not enough of my flavor though!

You hits what you aims at, you don't need to worry about capacity. Need more than 8 shots? You should be runnin' not shootin'!

We have these little things around here called "Meth-heads". You might need 3-4 for each one depending on just how amped up they are. More and more in the news, it is more than just one "Meth-head" setting out to do harm. In your example I'm only good for two  ;) It's 2015 and I don't need to limit myself on capacity one bit. Even my Wife has 16+1 at her disposal in her tiny hands and does fine with it  8) Why limit yourself if the grip is perfect  ;) ;)

Lube and lots of cycles before hitting the range with it. Looks good on the Limited Pro though.

Can I get nosey? How much for the conversion? I would love to get several conversion kits for the stock II. I've looked into the 9 & 45, but at over $700.00 per...

It depends on how you seek them out  ;)

Sometimes EBay, sometimes GunBroker, or Brian Enos Forums.

This one is from Enos and he has one more. You are looking at $200 shipped for the .22LR. He also has a 9mm upper to fit your setup in the mid $500 range. Another person there has a .45ACP for your pistol for $625. Those guys swap stuff around a bunch and create extra parts  ;D

The CZ97B is tempting to me.

Looked at a few CZ pieces on vacation at a stocking dealer.

The CZ Tactical Sport actually feels bigger in the hand than my Witness pieces and seeing it in person I wasn't thrilled with the finish combinations. It's ruled out!

I found the CZ SP-01 and CZ-75 having a nice hand feel. They are possibilities if nothing else pans out.

I totally feel the same way about the tactical sport.
For me, I'm just not much of a 9 mm guy. But the 40 models are down a lot rounds on capacity. Except for the polymer models.
The CZ pistols are just so beautiful and feel so good. But I spent my money on a Glock 29 &40 MOS

Maybe, buy you are whacking them with a bigger piece of lead. If you need more than 5-6 rounds, you should probably be running, not shooting.

Totally agree. I carry a Glock 29 or shield 40. But the CZ 75 tactical drops from like 19 to 14 rounds.
