Title: New Trigger for the Mech-TECH
Post by: cwlongshot on May 10 2015 04:26:34 AM MDT
I ordered a RECOIL trigger for the G20 on the Mech-tec last week.

I learned the Glock trigger and can shoot it pretty well in a handgun. Normally my Glocks are carry guns so I do NOT alter the parts of the gun sans Springs. But this G20 was never a "carry gun" its defensive yes, but mostly four legged and hunting use. Then the Mech-tec came along now its pretty much dedicated to that. But I have gotten many of the trigger goodies to smooth and lighten its trigger.  I have long read about these triggers with there claims of what they do to the triggers on Glocks.

I really find the trigger troublesome in the rifle/carbine that is a Mech -tec. SO, I bought and will install the trigger later today and see what I get. ;)

Any of you guys go this route already? (With a Glock trigger?)

I've looked at these Triggers
If you go to OC Customs site, they give you a lot of options

Nope, I use a 1911 in my Mechtech. Never had any trigger problem.

CW:
How do you like the Grooved Trigger ?
I was thinking of getting the Smooth Trigger set-up for my MG20
What options did you get with yours ?
Thinking of adding the Overtravel to the adjustable Take-up
Black on Black, with the Enhanced Safety
OEM Assembly Tool and new Pins

Received and installed the new OC Custom Trigger
Now the Trigger had a touch over 0.125 inch take-up, breaks at a crisp (and consistent) 5.5 lbs and little under 0.125 inch over-travel / reset
Looking forward to get it out for some (NEW) Trigger time    8)

Had the Mechtech out at the range again today, Another couple hundred 10mm reloads shot. Good thing I just got a new shipment of 180 grain lead!

Seriously, this thing is just WAT too much fun to shoot. ;D

Ordered and added the Ghost Inc Ranger 4.5 Connector to my MG20 today
http://www.ghostinc.com/category/12_45lbranger/
I went with the 4.5 not the 3.5 because I don't intend on ever using the Lower as anything but the Receiver for my CCU
And I'm just looking for a crisp, clean consistent break on the Carbine
Now with the Ghost Ranger and the OCC Trigger, the MG20's Trigger now  breaks at a very consistent 4.9 lbs
Can't wait to get it out to the "Range"
