Title: .44 Auto Mag pistol model 180
Post by: CLASSIC12 on April 30 2015 10:11:56 AM MDT
Well since the 10mm is (or can be) a semi auto magnum equivalent, I thought I'd post this here too.

I've been dreaming of an Auto Mag for 30 years (Sudden Impact) but never wanted to shell out 4-5 grand. Got this one for 2200 at an auction.

A word of advice in the manual :D

Got to find reloading dies and components now.

Very nice pistol that one is, many years ago (1980's) I had to pass on a consecutive serial numbered pair in a nice case for $1200.    :-[  Kicking self in the butt... :'(

This looks awesome.

What I love most about this particular gun is to the untrained eye it appears so un-remarkable.  But to a true connoisseur it is very remarkable.

Congrats on a great score.

I have a large Auto Mag collection and this Bicentenial model with an 8 1/2" barrel in 357 Auto Mag is my favorite.

Wow. I knew someone somewhere in this world was stashing them away, that's why they're so hard to find.

Did you post them here, or elsewhere? Do you shoot some, and reload for them ?

I have been shooting and collecting AMP's for about 20 years.  I have two 44 AMP's that I shoot and one 357 AMP shooter.  I have just purchased a scoped 9" 41 JMP this winter that I plan on shooting but I have not got around to it yet.

I have always reloaded my own.  Starline has brass for the 44 AMP and the other calibers are formed from that brass also.  Corbon loads the 44 AMP.

I have posted some pictures here, not I am not much of a photographer.

I would be glad to answer any questions.
