What's the advertised velocity on these bad boys?
The same 1250 FPS.
Here are the ballistics tables by tabs:

Thanks. Looks promising.
This ammo does look good. Im going to have to keep an on it and look for a distributor to get it in.
I checked Cabelas website tonight, it still shows this ammo as back ordered.
As of today the Cabelas website shows this as in stock. Has anybody tried any yet? I need to find some good factory ammo that will function my RIA 1911 with 20# Wolff Spring.
EDIT: My apologies. The ammo I found was for FMJ and not the VCrown. Sorry
Mine is still on backorder. I'm seeing 8 more weeks.
Just put 6 boxes on back order.
I've had mine on backorder for about 6 weeks and just received this update:
Backorder-Tentative arrival to CRI 07/30/15
Same here. It's taking forever!
They had some in Fort Worth,Texas. Even Gander Mountain had some in Arlington,Texas

Hollow point or FMJ?
Website showed JHP in stock a couple of hours ago.
Finally here! I will pick them up Monday and get them going through the testing.
Awesome! 8)
Cool! These are the V Crown JHP's they should be interesting!
They just billed my credit card for a back order.
I saw that they were back ordered. Good way to ensure you get them at the sale price!

I can't wait to see the results 8)
I might try to sneak over tomorrow if the rain stays away.
None in stock at my Cabelas
Cheaper than dirt has it for $18.80 a box at warehouse 9
CTD can suck my big toe ;D
I got my shipment from Cabela's last week. I forgot to take with me to the range Saturday, so hopefully someone will get numbers this week!
Pick mine up at Cabelas tomorrow.

What gun are you going to test them in G20, 29.
I'm going this evening. EAA 4.75" and 6".
I ran the FMJ's right after the V-Crowns.
Sig Sauer 180gr V-Crown
EAA Limited Pro 4.75" 1208, 1207. Average = 1207.5 FPS/583 LBS
EAA Super Match 6" 1247, 1251. Average = 1249 FPS/624 LBS
Sig Sauer 180gr FMJ
EAA Limited Pro 4.75" 1230, 1227. Average = 1228.5 FPS/603 LBS
EAA Super Match 6" 1254, 1281. Average = 1262.5 FPS/637
The FMJ's look to be loaded a little stronger. Hopefully the pull-down will show something.
Those fmj's will make a nice practice load.
The Jacketed Hollow Point bullet being slightly longer they may have reduced the powder charge slightly... ::)
Still the V Crown seems to be a good load. We will have to wait and see the gel test.
Those are some pretty good results; for the performance and the price point they're at I think SIG is going to do quite well with these, at least in 10mm Auto. I see that both FMJ and HP are both in stock on the website so it's looking like they're finally building some stock!
Will this be anybody new carry round for self defense ?
We will know more soon as Intercooler sends them down for peek inside... ;D
But hey these are 10mm and I wouldn't hesitate to carry them...
10 4
Handful of gel tests of the Sig V-Crowns (9mm, 357 sig, .40) available online. Don't recall any of those jhp tests yielding overly *impressive results..... But never know, maybe they'll be great in 10mm.
*(IWBA protocols)
Did you see Chopinbloc's?
I'm shipping him the 10mm version tomorrow for gel.
Great news. I would like to ship him a few of my 10mm Ted Nugent 180 XTP.
Just picked up a few boxes at the Cabelas in Delaware, cannot wait to shoot them.

Although I follow Andrew's stuff; I'd somehow missed that one last month. Thx for pointing out.
Wow, the penetration was wild... 14" of ballistics gel, then another 12" (2 plastic gallon jugs) of water!!!
Still showing .554 expansion. Crazy penetration in that test.
Can't wait to see how the 10mm test does.
Bud's and Selway Armory have both JHP and FMJ in stock online at the moment.
I am trying to decide between these and the current Hornady Custom 180 grain ammo I am using for carry purpose. I guess these have a higher advertised velocity than the Hornady's (1250 vs 1100). And with Intercooler"s testing it looks like they get close...
Fired a box of V Crowns, 155 Hornady's and 175 flexlock Hornady.
155 were equal or stronger than the V Crowns.
Flex Locks were clearly weaker but surprisingly smoother.
Fired out of my G 29 using stock and Lone Wolf extended barrel. No problems at all.All good carry ammo.

Stock RSA or heavier one?
Stock
Running low on Win Silver tips... only a few boxes left and haven't been able to replace.
Will have to try these and see if the V crown makes a good replacement for carry.
I am very much enjoying this product. The price is right and having the carry and range ammo so close in performance and feel has been great. Certainly carries more punch than the UMC range stuff and the Hornady JHP I also carry.
Still not convinced what the best combo of weight/speed are for self defense and 10mm. But, this should certainly do the job, and I've started to bias my ammo inventory toward this product.
Both Sig loads run just fine in my RIA 10mm. Maybe more factory loads will start arriving as more than neutered .40 S&Ws.
