I've seen this discussion over at the S&W forum but might as well throw it out here...for a wish list I'd love to see a S&W M&P in 10mm...double stack not the "Shield". I think it would be a decent seller...probably at least as good as the 357 Sig. (I'd sure as heck buy one!)... but since when did S&W listen to what the customers want LOL...thoughts?
An M&P would be nice. I could also go for an XD.
I would also love to see S&W bring back the 10XX series.
Or XD. I still want a Witness Limited with all the bells!
Sign me up for a M&P 10mm.
I have always longed for S&W to produce the M&P10mm, but I would like to see them make it with a precise trigger, possibly in 5" Combat or 6" Hunter model. Ultimately, As I mentioned on the S&W wish list site, It would be nice to have it setup with conversion barrels for 40S&W, 357Sig and 9x25Dillon.
But they have to produce the M&P10mm first...
I also mentioned about bringing back the 10xx 3rd gen in 10mm, maybe a 10mm Tactical with a 3.5" or 4" barrel to be different.
Only time will tell! ???
I don't have any M&P's, I would like to get a full size 45, but I would be happy with the glock 20, living in a restricted state, I would be limited to 10 round mags with the M&P, at least with the glock I can get pre ban mags.
i would be happy if they would produce a 40 on the 45acp fame. my reader would turn that into a 10mm in know time

The M&P would be hand downs my first pick of platforms. American Made, Stainless slide, reasonably priced. I'd have one the month it came out!!!!!!!!
I would buy an M&P 10mm.
I emailed SW late last year about offering 10mms, they said no plans of it. Was asking about offering the 610 again, or any 10mm. Would be nice to have more options in 10mm. I just want more people shooting them so I can get more brass at the range.
I'd love one but I don't think it's happening; at least, not anytime soon.
I don't think S&W has a regular production 10mm planned for a while. Its just not a popular enough round according, according to ammo sales that is. I do hope I'm wrong and they surprise me as I would buy 2 of them as quick as I could.

Amen. I have bags of 9mm on my bench cause I don't know anyone who reloads it. And my 45 ACP and 40 S&W friends love me because I end up with lots of it. But 10mm....I never pick up 10mm unless I was the one who put it down.
I would buy as well... do want!

I have never found a 10mm case at the range.
I know one of my ranges I am the only one that shoots it, I lost about 14 cases one time. Next time I was in asked if they had any for sale, he said not many, when I told him exactly how many I lost he just handed them back to me. The other range just throws them in a trash can and you buy them by the pound but have to dig threw them.
The 10mm range pick up I used to get was shot by Navy Seals and FBI, fired from MP-5 10mm mostly as they had the fluted chamber marks on them. Most were Federal brass and many were split mid case. Since the Home Land Security stuff ramped up I haven't been able to access the range much.
I got a friend at a federal agency, I keep telling him to get them to change to 10mm. They just throw the brass away, I get him to bring me boxes full every now and then. Mostly 40sw ,223 with a mix of 357sig, 45acp in it. But for free I will take all he can get me.
Yeah...Free is still good even in calibers you don't shoot. Even if you just pass it forward that comes back to you at some point.
Well still no 10mm M&P on the horizon...I may have to set sail for a Gen 4 Glock 20! ;D
If S&W made an M&P in 10mm you would literally be able to hear me buying it.
Not to derail the thread, but are there any fundamental differences between: M&P, XD, and Glock?
I never paid attention to M&P and XD because they don't have a 10mm platform, so I've just never really known.
Hey Redline...I've owned all 3 at various times. Sold the XDs. All 3 are striker fired polymer framed double stacks with similar triggers. All 3 are very reliable and tough as nails if not pretty. The XD also has a grip safety. From there the big differences are in ergonomics, grip angle, and bore axis. IMO the M&P wins in those 3 categories. I'm sure there are plenty of other technical differences as well, but as a shooter those seem like the big ones to me.
BCDWYO; Thanks! In that case, if they would come out with a 10mm platform having at lease some more chamber support at 6 o'clock, sign me up! And it would be cool if they would time it to have better lockup shooting full power loads (not necessarily "max" power, but the better stuff) compared to the Glock versions. Yup, in that case I'ld for sure be all over one.
The most important difference: One of the three makes a 10mm :P
I really like the trigger on the XD's I have shot. I have very little trigger time on the M&P, and the one I shot was a 9mm, which always seems mild when my normal diet is full power 10mm.
