Well I went and bought a brass sorting three tub system with a 380 plate that also sorts out 380 and it works great!!!! :P I am getting brass from a friend the sweeps a range when he is there with his club shoot every week or so and it was taking me days to sort. Now i can do it in 2 hours. it sorts 45 from 40/10mm from 9mm then you run the 9 trough with the plate in and it sorts the 380 from the 9mm. VERY COOl indeed!!! I recommend this to anyone that has to sort brass. I have even found some 10mm in there which is very nice. I am also building a brass netting arrangement that I hope will cut down on brass searching. I will post more on it with pictures I hope later. Craig
That's very interesting Craig and a useful setup. I don't get the brass I once use to... :-[
My brass sorting system= my kids. :D
I put some gloves on them and say, "Alright kids, put all the like pieces together..."
They enjoy it (4-8yo).

Some cognitive exercises! Bravo for you! :D
What brand of sorter did you get? I still have a lot of brass to sort!!!
This is the link I hope. http://www.uniquetek.com/site/696296/product/T1310][/url] but you can get it anywhere like Midway. I have seen them forever on the net. Craig
edit to fix link I hope it works. Well edit again to say I can't get the link to work in this post but it is a good link if you cut and paste. Sorry

Cool!
yeah you got it right. Thanks Craig
I had seen those, I was not sure how well they work. You provided good input.
Interesting that someone fixed the link anyway if anyone goes there they also sell a very interesting brass picker uper gadget that looks cool. It's a wire football looking thing on the end of a broomstick that you roll on the ground and it picksup brass but not dirt etc. Looks cool but I have no real-time experience with this tool but it looks cool. I am also building a brass netting system and will do a post on it when finished. Craig

Cool!
I used that exact product tonight for the first time. I purchased mine from Grafs. I sorted a mixed bucket down to just 9mm I needed in short order. Worked great.
Yeah I can't believe how good it works for plastic pans with groves in the bottom. I really needed the 380 brass as a lot of my friends are shooting 380 and it's the hardest to sort from the 9mm. I couldn't be happier!! Craig
I just received the .380 plate for my shellsorter system, I hope it works as sorting .380 from 9mm is annoying.
Well when I got my system with the 380 plate I reran 9mm that I had previously sorted and got about 400 380n just from the 9mm. Very cool indeed. Craig
Cool, I'm going to have to go sort some 9's today just to play with it
Got another load of brass from my friend and worked it all in one hour, just need to clean. No 10 mm though bummer but I was sorting through a bunch of brass and found a couple hundred 10mm not starline so it's cool. My friend say's he only has 7 weeks of shooting left. So I guess I will only get about 10,000 more empties. Brass sorter is great though. Craig
Sounds great Craig, glad its working out for you. When you are sorting, do you find some brass which gets inside the others like 380 or 9mm inside a 40 or 10mm? 40 or 10mm inside of a 45?
I found a few 32's inside the 380 & 9mm... ::)
Hey Shadow, Yes you still get some stuck :D but shacking during sorting loosens up most of the nested ones and because you are dealing with smaller groups further picking out nested brass and steel/alum cases is much easier in general. 8)Craig
