Just ordered my 4th - from Tagua Leather in Miami, Fl. for my Glock 29 G4 (http://www.taguagunleather.com/new/ (http://www.taguagunleather.com/new/). Have an Uncle Mike's and 1 Blackhawk (OWB) and a custom made Kydex. Here is what I ordered:

I hope this works. If not, I think I counted only another 103 others to go through.............. :-[
I AM pretty excited to receive this. Report, or lament, after I get it.

I have one of their outside waistband holsters, haven't really carried yet since I don't have a suitable belt and I'm trying to lose weigh... Don't want to buy an expensive belt and have to poke holes in it.
Holster looks well made, it's made somewhere in Asia... Forget exactly where.
I have a tagua thumb break holster for my 1911 and I hate it, I just got a desantis to replace it and it's much better.

I should have worded my earlier post differently, they are good for the price i guess. But the galco paddle one i just got for my glock 20 was cheap off amazon and it is worlds better. I only paid around $35 shipped for it.
A good and very reasonably priced crosstuck style holster is alien gear. I got one for my glock 23 and really like it. I havent really used it much yet though.
I like the MIC holster. I carry a G-29 all day. I had a supertuck before the MIC. The MIC is by far the most comfortable way to carry inside the waistband. Just my opinion...
In the last 20 years I have been thru Lord knows how many holsters....I'm using an inside the pants for every day carry with my Glock 21...best I have found is by reaper tactical(rtfholsters.com)......you can draw and due to kydex molding, it will.not collapse and you can reholster one handed....I think anyone who has carried for any amount of time has bought a crappy holster an Been unsatisfied, chuck it in the garage and went and got a new one. We all do that.
Went from the cheapest holsters to high quality leather holsters for CC, then realized some of the affordable plastic ones like Blade-Techs are great for range work and hunting carry. Added in some mid-quality leather holsters for general OWB carry. It takes trying a big variety of holsters to learn what works best for this and that application; for sure I've bought a few I consider mistakes, but we often learn best by our own mistakes.
Was able to cancel the Tagua order.
Anyone tried AlienGear Cloak Tuck 2.0? (For a G29 Gen 4).

Same here. I might also recommend, from personal experience, the Galco Summer Comfort holster. It's an excellent leather option if you want to go that way.
I have an alien wear. Like it very much. Even more when I look at the price.
My only issue with aliengear holsters is the excess kydex to make them universal, it doesn't mold as well to my body. I have a hybrid holster from mdjstore.com that I liked for my glock 20/29
I usually end up with 3-6 holsters per gun looking for a good one... :o ;D
I have two on order now for my own 29sf. I have a Fobus paddle as I have had good luck with them. and a DeSantis mini scabbard because I like the one I have for my shield.
One thing that surprised me was the two holsters I have for my G20 where too slim for the G29... I thought the G29 was same, same only shorter... The slide on my 29sf is bigger.

believe it or not, I bought the cheap GlockStore $30 holster for my G29 and it is not bad (got it on one of their Tuesday sales for $25)! I have nice holsters from Wright Leather Works and CrossBreed that are comfy and expensive, but for just throwing a holster on and going the inexpensive GlockStore one works nicely! I couldn't believe it...
When I read the title of the thread, my first thought was "Who has never made a bad holster choice". But then I thought, that would be a very short thread :)

They're not as nice as Crossbreed or Comp-Tac but decent for the money.
My favorite is Crossbreed for IWB, Galco for OWB leather, and TCB for Kydex OWB. I wear a Wilderness belt.
The cliche is the "drawer full of holsters". What works well for one gun may not work for another. I used to make leather holsters, and now wear a crossbreed. Just the smallest little thing can make a holster miserable or totally unconcealable.
I have a closet full of holsters. If you're not looking at different stuff you're not trying. Look at blade tech. I carry a full sized 1911 for nine months out of the year and this holster is the best I've tried. Look at the Black Ice or their basic Out Side Waste Band holsters. I also carry with a shoulder rig, Galco Miami Vice. Probably get some flack for saying that but it is the most comfortable way to carry. Can't draw as fast but if you practice you can become adequate.
Well, I did it again! This weekend purchased a DeSantis Tuk something or other at my local GS. Felt good there when I tried it on. Back home, it feels like I have a chair on my hip. Two clips and getting it off was like putting a new tire on a rim by hand......
At least THIS time I can return it! Maybe I am just not supposed to carry concealed? ::)

The only maker for CCW I'll buy from is Karmer http://kramerleather.com/ I use his Inside The Waistband #2 Gun Holster - Horsehide Inside The Waistband #2 Gun Holster - Horsehide I carry 1911's, S&W 640, Glock 17, S&W1006, and a EEA 10mm. after investing an untold amount of money in holsters I find Karmer works for me.
Inside the pants is RTFHolsters.com best inside the pants holster I've ever worn in the last 25 years of carrying a weapon.I have to use it everyday and it's very comfortable seats will draw all is well and you can reupholster after you've drawn with one hand... Check it out. Reaper holsters they're pretty good.
When they were still being made, I purchased two Occidental Stronghold Phoenix IWB holsters; one for 5" 1911 and the other for G23, plus double mag pouches for each gun. That was my first real quality gunleather. They continue to serve me well 5 years later. No sign of wearing out.
You can get similar holsters nowadays from TTGunleather.
This model is similar to what I have:
