My Lonewolf 6.6" G20 was very very tight when I received it. It choked every kind of ammo. So I did just the slightest and cleanest top ramp work and it shoots and feeds like a champ all kinds of ammo and bullets (included HP).
Except Underwood 200gr TMJ 1250fps. I checked the ammo dimensions and they are fine (under other ammo that fed fine).
What gives?
Smooth the top most edge of the chamber out as it can catch the top pf the cartridge as it os feeding in.

Will try. Thanks.
I had some free time so I took a look. I don't think it's a barrel geometry issue. I believe it's two fold, first it's the bullet shape and second recoil spring.
This 200gr rounded bullet at full OAL - really runs into the top of the chamber unlike the other bullet shapes I have. Now admittedly a larger chamber would be easier, but I really don't want a looser chamber. Of note I no longer see this ammo on Underwood's site.
I was using the 17lb spring and Glockmeister steel guide rod. I put the 20# spring on and it seems to drive the round home with no issue now.
Will test more.
The tipping angle length can be too long with the wider MEPALT bullets...DT actually reduced his COL to 1.2420" for the WFN styles...
Yeah these are over 1.242"....more like 1.252" or so.
With a large MEPLAT.
Underwood and Buffalo Bore I think have a smaller MEPLAT than the Double Tap's, they are usually loaded 1.2500" - 1.2520".
Some guns have tolerances that the tipping angle can still hang up.
The 200gr Underwood that I bought are larger meplat than these:

BUT that is just what leads to the fat secant radius where the bullet actually hangs up in top of the chamber.
Maybe a 10rd mag would have more spring pressure to help get the bullet more flat before it goes in. Or the stronger recoil spring too.
