Very Good!!
According to Masaad Ayoob, it is a single stack you can shoot all day, very manageable. Here is his take:

I will stick with my G26.
Man, that took long enough! How long have people been begging for one of these?? I wonder how it compares to something like a S&W Shield; looks like it has a bit more of an ergonomic look to it than the larger frame Glocks. This will no doubt sell like hotcakes.
I will get one

Me too.
Yup, me too... trading in my lc9s
Called it ;)
Anyone know what pricing is like on them at this point? I've seen mention of almost $600 msrp :-\
They will be high to start like the 42 was, after a while though they will drop. Should run same price as 42 once things are settles, dont see any reason it would be different.
MSRP of $589.00
It is at the bottom of this article.

I've seen quotes for MSRP from $399-$649. However, I have not seen anything official from Glock. I called a LGS and they have not rec'd the official pricing, yet, for it. If it is $589, that'll make it the same or within $20 of the G26...in fact I think Bass Pro (who sells almost all of the guns at MSRP) has the G26G4 @ $569. :headscratch: ::)
$580 and you are giving up a little bit versus others.
I know i will get treated right on the trade in on for the one i get, i use this dealer a lot and he always gives me a hell of a deal. He did tell me to wait till prices stabilize, so i wont be an early adopter afterall. If i end up with the 40 to i think i may need treatment for glockitis... that will make 4.

I think it's called Glockaholism. It's a terrible affliction that I suffer from too :))

I already have it bad.. both my 23 and 20 are sitting in front of me right now. Cant decide which to carry tonight.
Im excited about the 43 as well. I think its what the 42 should have been. I'm sure a lot of 42 buyers may be adding a 43 when they're available.
While I am not interested in getting one, I am glad that glock finally made one. They crying about not having a single stack 9 since the shield 9 was released was about to drive me crazy.
Hope everyone loves it after they have gotten it.
I'm just glad I won't have to listen to people complaining about them not making one any more.

I agree.... i may just stick with my lc9, will have to handle one first and see how it fits for pocket carry.

Although I am a fan of Glock....I got tired of hearing about it, too.
Now the complaint is their too expensive for a ss9. Some people you just can't make happy.....hang'm with a new rope and they will still be ticked! ;D
LOL
Fixed the link and made it on screen view...it was just that funny! The_Shadow liked it!
That has to be the funniest thing in a long time, Thanks Intercooler for posting it!!! ;D
The YouTube feature hasn't been working on many of the videos for some reason.
The "s" at the end of the HTTPs is a culprit for security...
That is excellent Intercooler!! :))
Honestly I don't see what the big deal is. With the shield, pm9/cm9, lc9s out, I would say that the market of single stack 9s is pretty well covered. Even left a few out. I will have to rent one and see if its worth creaming my pants over.

But it's a Glock.........
True. I like its competition as well.

I don't think it is a big deal. It is basically just another gun, but people who have come to trust the Glock name for reliability may see things differently. I can't get one in California, so it means nothing to me. Glock 42 pistols are selling used in California for $800 :o.
.
Anyone have one now? What do you think of it?

Buddy of mine bought one last week, i got to shoot it that afternoon. Its not bad at all, but my lc9s just work better for me. Neither gun is anywhere near as nasty recoiling as that piece of crap pf9 was that i had.
I have had surgery for severe carpal tunnel so i am a little recoil sensitive right now, once thats fully healed though i will shoot his 43 again.
The ruger has what i would call hips to the grip, its flared out some where as the glock is the same width all the way down...that helped spread the recoil energy around.
Nice! Thanks for the info. I'm looking forward to renting one.
