Title: My modified Springfield Arms Omega
Post by: Riddim Guy on March 11 2015 12:08:23 PM MDT
Hi Guys,
Lots of good advice and comments on this site. Really good to be here...

Thought I would share some pics of my SA Omega.. With a quick back story.

Bought it '93 in 10mm. Tried but could not find a 45 or 38 super barrel, so I also bought a L.A.R. Grizzly but that's another story. The Omega was fine for a year and the original unsupported guide rod broke (see bottom rod in photo), SA could not/would not fix it but gave me Stahls address and ph# in Germany. Sent it over, heart in mouth, would I ever see it again. It came back! With 2 guide rods. It was shooting incredibly well. As you can see it gets a lot of use. Anyway one of the rods broke (middle pic). Stahls is gone, no chance of another repair so I use it gingerly.
Came across the SA SA, Single Action. Great! Another obsession. I have multiple calibers in this system: 7mmBR, 44Mag, 223, 243Win, 308Win, 357/45 WinMag, 357 Mag, 357 Maximum, 358 JDJ (shown in pic). Single shots in any of these calibers is just so much fun, and ammo lasts all afternoon.
