Muslim EXTREMISTS here in the U.S. in your lifetime? 10 years ago I would have said slim to none (despite 9/11). But NOW, maybe as high as 30-40%?? I live in central Ohio and some LEO's here think a national blitz (by extremists) is not out of the question. Not sure what to believe.

I hope they are low. I have already been a hostage once. That was enough for me even though it really wasn't a high stress incident (comparatively).

Well, I live within 20 minutes of Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Orlando, Sea World, etc... So I think that it isn't out of the realm of possibilities.

Don't forget Moore, OK. People tend to think of terrorism as large groups acting as one. In fact, IS and AQ has been calling for individuals to carry out their own small scale attacks for at least a decade now. It happens relatively often, but is rarely reported as such. The 9/11 animals lived for a while and took pilot training in the OKC metro.

This is the biggest reason I carry.
5 years ago now, an abandonded home on my block was broken into and used by "Coyotes" aka Human Trafficers from Mexico. A raid by MCSO and ICE resulted in information that lead to another home several blocks awa that fits the description of my wife and I to a T. Husband Wife couple who frequently left for long weekends on a corner house. The husband and wife were found inside, killed, stuffed in a bathtub. Inside the house were crates of illegal AK's and their knock offs smuggled in from Mexico along with crates of preloaded magazines. 16 illegals in all, several with multiple violent crime and deportations.
This is why I vote for Sheriff Joe Arpio every year. This is why I am armed and make sure our neighbor knows when we go out of town.
Sadly, not even their places of employment had done anything more than leave messages unti finally sending termination notices for no show. Thankfully, my wife's employer would send sexurity around if she was a no show no call no response to calls.
I don't care where in the U.S. you are, this islamic extremist movement has traction and making infiltrations to a small town near you! You can take this statement any way you wish, but is is and will happen! It is their mission to assimilate others to carry out their goals. They are doing criminal activities every day, many are clandestin, not reported or solved.
There are more and more child abductions in this country daily, many are the work of illegal aliens but also these extremist.
It will proliferate if unchecked and this current society is too politically correct to understand that the attacks can come from within the U.S. boundaries!
I will say remain vigilant, observant, proficient and well armed!
I would not be surprised of an infrastructure type attack here, there is a major internet backbone connection a few miles away from the house at the former headquarters of a now defunct long distance company. I know that local police regularly train with dhs agents on handling that and potential hostage situations. I see them using a couple of vacant buildings every month or so.
About the only thing around me I figure could be a target is shipbuilding and seaport facilities.
