I've never heard of this brass before is it any good and are they made by the Double Tap Ammo company?
Mike McNett of Double Tap ammo had some special runs of his headstamped brass made for his company. It should be just fine...
Last time I checked, he was getting this from starline with a custom headstamp. I don't know if that is still the case or not. I treat it like once fired starline when I find it.
Some were marked Double Tap, some marked DT and some I think were even marked McNett.
Starline is excellent brass. I prefer the non-nickel plated brass, but would have zero qualms with loading the nickel DT (Starline) brass.
I've got a quite a bit of DT brass for reloading. So far I've made it to thrice fired with full power ammo. Very few throwaways. We'll see how it goes for the third resizing...
When I ordered my double tap brass last fall, I asked the sales lady on the phone who made their brass. She stated that several manufacturers make there brass including Starline, Remington, and even Winchester. What I received appeared to be Remington, the reason I say that is Starline has very uniform flash holes with little to no burring, The brass I received seem to be slightly thicker than the Starline that I have, also the flash holes had some leftover burring from where they were punched. I can only state my observations and what I was told, the only person that would know for sure would be Mike McNett. I have no complaints of the quality of the brass that I did receive.
