What weight recoil springs is/are everyone using on there 1911's in 10 mm? It is a springfield with 5" barrel. My normal load is 180 gr lead bullet at about 1200 to 1300 fps.
I run a single 22lb Wolff in my Delta Gold Cup
20lb in my 5" rock and 18.5 in the kimber only due to I get feeding problems if I go higher.
I have a 20,22, and 24. lol could hardly rack the slide with the 24. Ran the 22 for about 100 rounds have the 20 in now and have not shot it yet. Guess we will see......
I run an 18.5 recoil with a 25 mainspring and a flat bottom firing pin stop. This combination has been shown in empirical testing to result in a final slide velocity on par with a 1911 in standard form in 45 acp running 230 ball.

I agree that a heavier main spring is the ticket with a lighter recoil. Like 10mmfan, I run a 20# in my Rock and 18.5 in my Eclipse. I run a 25# main in both with flat bottom firing pin stops. Steve
Still running Colts compound springs in my Delta Gold Cup. Noticed Wolf suggested a 23? lb on their website so may try that next.
How much of a difference does the mainspring make? Is there any benefit to having a lighter or heavier mainspring / recoil spring ratio?

A lighter mainspring is usually need to get a trigger pull below about 3.5 lbs. However, IMHO a crisp 4lb pull is far better than a gritty 3lb pull, so I think making sure all the mating surfaces are far more important than the spring weight. Lots of people get focused on the weight as it is easy to quantify and document. It is NOT the most important consideration.
A heavier mainspring eats up some slide momentum. It should be combined with a flat bottom firing pin stop. Between the two you can get a 10mm down to about the same slide velocity/momentum when it reaches its rearward travel as 45 ACP. The suggested mainspring weight is 25 lbs to acheive this.
While lots of guys here really like a heavy recoil spring in a 1911, I am not among them. Unlike the Glock, the recoil spring has very little, if any, influence on the timing of a 1911. I generally find the standard 18.5 lb spring to be plenty.

Can anybody please tell me where you order your new springs and flat bottom stop from. I have a new ria 2011 10mm 5in. Not sure what's in it now...have read they ship with #20 recoil now. Would like to put in heavier main spring and flat bottom firing pin stop. Thanks for any help.

brownells has the egw stops and wolf 18 1/2 and 20 pound springs last week when i ordered them for my non railed rock. now the egw stop are quite a bit oversized atleast it was for my rock...my kimber i mainly had to flat top it for the target style sight

Contacted armscor yesterday and was told by Arnel bernardo that full size rock 10mm comes factory #20 recoil spring and #23 main spring. Is that pretty much good to go? I'm getting brass marks on top rear of ejector port. Anything I can do for that ?
I used to one of the guys that mixed it up alot. Now I only change springs when I have issues. I would say run with 20/23 unless you have a specific issue, and have reliable information that a different spring will correct said issue.

I agree. New to you. Run several boxes through it and see. Most plinking ammo will be fine with that set up. I run the stock 20 recoil but 25 main. I would put the mainspring back to the 23 but I do shoot an ocassional hot load and simply put a 22 recoil in at that time. my Eclipse likes the 18.5/25 set up. Both have the flat bottom firing pin stops.
