Title: Ruger considering a 17WSM, shows prototype at shot show!
Post by: Bruno747 on February 02 2015 07:56:55 PM MST
Now this has me intrigued. I have been wanting a 17wsm for some time, but the bmag is such a terrible rifle that I cant abide buying one. There are so many issues with it. The two that I held, I have to almost step on the bolt to close it.

Now ruger shows a 17wsm in m77 platform with a custom rimfire bolt at shot show. Price this right and I am in 100% Finally, a rifle that will be worthy of the 17wsm.  ;D

But yes, I would be very interested in the 7717

That Volquartsen and the Franklin armory are outside my personal willingness price wise.

That said is the M77 in 17wsm is less than $500 im in.

Since MSRP of the 7717 in 17hmr is $900+, I don't see it happening. However, if they offer it in the Ruger American, I will buy one in a Heartbeat! I enjoy my Ruger America Predator in .308 even more tha I did the Savage Axis in .308. Still needs a new stock, but that can be had from Boyds for under $200, or I can finis the walnut stock I am already working on, when my hands allow  :D
