Title: Glock G29 Gen4 Question
Post by: cwall64 on January 22 2015 02:19:48 PM MST
Hi,
I have a stock G29 Gen4 and it has worked flawlessly with UMC ammo, Georgia Arms, Freedom Munitions, etc, but with the hotter stuff I have had 3 failures to reset the trigger.  It happened twice with Underwood 165Gr TMJ (Kevin suggested contacting Glock) and now on the Underwood 180Gr TMJs.  This last time I did notice that it failed to lockup completely (I could see the slightest hint of brass through the slide).  Again it is completely stock...  Just curious what it could be, I guess I need to call Glock.

The standard first step with the Glock 20 Gen 4 is a stiffer recoil spring.  I would assume the same applies here.

Ok, I was thinking the same, I'll order one and test.  I am looking at the 21 pound one from the Glockstore, hope that is a decent/reliable one.

I have the 23 pound one in mine and sometimes with hotter loads it just locks the freaking slide back while there's still ammo.
