The longslide comes in at 40oz with 15 in the mag. SHOT '15 Media Day had a Leupy Deltapoint optic on a standard width longslide G40.
Any shooting impressions from SHOT Media Day?
Happy Hunting :)
Any word on when they are in stores?
Really good. 8)

When Glock makes a model that fits into my small short fingered hand.....maybe.
I'm sticking with my Fusion Firearms longslide right now.
They fit in your hands, go for it!

Eventually LWD will come out with a G20 compatible model. The LWD frame is comfy. - http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Products.aspx?CAT=3168
Otherwise you could do/or have someone else do a grip reduction job on the Glock.
Eventually I'll get one of these G40s. It will be a year or two, though.
I've got the money ready. Will probably sell my 20. Have the 29 and with a 40 I couldn't really see the point for the middle model.
I wonder if the the slide can be used on the G4 G20s? I would purchase the slide/RSA to use on my G4.
What does MOS stand for?
Is that a wide slide like the G20 or a thin slide like the G41? (I see Ninja wrote "standard width").
.
MOS is an initialism for Modular Optic System. It means it has a big chunk o slide that can be removed revealing a built in mounting system for other optics.
It is the same width as the Glock 20.
I wonder if the cutout for optics could be used for adding weight to the slide to slow the unlock down or timing? Thats what I would use it for since this is the optics system I would put on it.

I don't see why not.
Adding the optics may balance out the weight, but these newer optics are light and compact...
I have the big optic ( eyes not so good - old age ) plus with the system I have I can see the regular sights under it. I don't think my sight would hold up for long mounted on the slide - so big and heavy - my system keeps it from being hammered on the slide.
By the way what are thous speed holster with the rod at the base to hold the gun on your hip - since there isn't a holster made that I can find for my system????
Doug
Looking at pics of the cover plate, you should be able to make a tungsten cover plate that just bolts in place. That would add a good bit of mass.
Im seriously considering one of these in the future, my only concern is have they fixed the issues ive heard the gen 4's have ? Its soooooo tempting though.....
Does anyone know if the LONG aftermarket Glock 20 barrels will fit the Glock 40?
