reply with this picture;
In a time where many companies are making their new 10mm offerings, Vltor has yet to answer their customer needs as promised so many years ago! SAD!
Glock is putting out the long slides cut for optical sites, Yes Grand Power is going to be imported, Sig Sauer is about to put there 10mm 220 into the mix, PARA is touting their new Elite LS Hunter...and these beautiful FORTIS / VLTOR pistols are still not even available after 7 1/2 years of dangling this carrot. Just how hard can it be for a company like Vltor to produce these promised pistols!
My reply on their newest post...
All I can say is opportunity is passing this project by, as time passes and other companies put their production out in the marketplace. Modern CNC tooling and machining it should possible to create this firearm with great tolerances and finishes.
I remain interested in the Bren Ten Project and look forward to its debut, but seriously I'm not getting any younger. I am working daily to educate people of the 10mm guns and ballistics of the 10mm cartridge in the effort to keep its history alive and well into the future.
All I can say is good luck and still longing to see if VLTOR can bring this gun to the customers! ? :)
Well said Shadow
Is that a picture of one of them? I would still rather have a Witness ;D
At any rate... I would just give up on it and buy the others :o
It has been my mission to keep them on their toes and the project on the table!
IC, I hear ya, and the Witness is certainly a valued choice. The Bren Ten is just as sweet to shoot and has its own history behind it. To be able to get a replica made to exacting standards and even better tolerances with parts if needs well that's the cats meow! ;D
So it was not business reasons alone the Bren Ten was not a .......success. >:D
I say 'piss-on-em'! Their response really says nothing. I can't hang-around waiting on a 'fool's dream'. I'll grab a SIG when they come out.
I would love to see it in production, though I probably couldn't afford / justify one.
Oh...okay. ::)
I wish someone at that company would have the grapes to admit they will never make it enough of a priority to actually produce a marketable product.
I could have learned how to run a CNC mill and made my own in the time they have been at it.
in the software industry this is vaporware.
perhaps when thus pistol finally arrives I can carry it while I play duke nukem forever.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Forum Fiend v1.2.5.
Yes. "Vaporware" is an actual, specific word in IT.
And NOT a good one. It means exactly what it implies.

Shadow, we got our letter on the same. day! :)
