This makes sense.

10.8gr's in this GD gave 1487 FPS
10.2gr's in the TMJ gave 1413 FPS

  These are real zingers!

How does that fit the loading books for Long Shot?

It doesn't.  Hodgdon doesn't publish current data for Longshot in bullets less than 180 grains.  I am at work and don't have my speer book here, but handloads doesn't have a longshot listing for 165 either.

When it come to loading data sqlbullet is correct about the info not being in the published data.  When it comes to Underwood's loadings, you will not find a matching book load either.  Why is that?  His loads are above the published data and that is how you see the numbers you are getting.

Just like the new loading with the LOVEX D037-01, it was also above any data by 1.5 grains over highest A#7 book loading.

Underwood stated in an e-mail that his loads were within SAAMI pressures...???

I find it hard to believe these are loaded under saami max pressure. Just because the gun doesn't blow up doesn't mean it's under 37,500 psi.

Wade,

Do you how Underwood determines that they are within SAAMI pressures?

In an e-mail I sent to them the stated that all of their ammo is inside SAAMI specs...I did post that somewhere.

Yeah, I just didn't know if he said how he determines that.  It would be nice if he, and all mfg's really, would publish details testing methodology and the raw data from the results.

I talked to Kevin today and asked about SAAMI specs, and he reassured me that his loads are within them.  I wish I had seen this thread prior to our conversation and I would have asked!!!
