Title: Hodgdon CFE Pistol tested
Post by: The_Shadow on January 09 2015 08:12:21 PM MST
Well I tried to get some good numbers but the rain put a damper on the readings, even with the sky screens the rain still affected the readings.

But here is what I did test I went to 8.0 grains of CFE where the Hodgdon's data stopped at 7.6 grains for the 180 grain JHP.
They shot well from the G-20 and G29, but the readings were very low @ 1124 fr0m the G-20 and 1057 from the G-29  Casings expanded to 0.4330" and primers looked great.  The rain was blowing on the sensors and that caused some missed readings  SORRY!   :-[   I think they were actually higher.  I'll send some to Intercooler to test on his end... ::)

I've had some CFE for several months now and haven't used it yet. I need to get on that.  :)
