If they only change the ability to change the back strap and leave the rest alone - maybe - just maybe they don't screw this one up. I have the 29sf gen 3 and its bullet proof ( pun intended ). I'm a Glock Man - but I have seen nothing to like in the Gen 4's, I glad my 3 Glocks 2 20sf's and the 29sf are all gen 3's.
