I think those numbers correlate since it has a brake/comp.

Are you referring and comparing to the UW 9mm +P+ loads we did?  If yes, you need to take in consideration the much shorter 9mm case and that will raise the chamber pressures of similar charge weights.

Yea the 38Super is a little longer casing and helps keep pressures down at those charge rates as compared to the 9mm +P+ UW's pull-down.

Hodgdon's highest load listed for the 38Super using 125 gr JHP and Auto Comp is 6.2 grains @ 1173 fps 31,400 CUP

Those shooting the comped guns seem to also be pushing beyond what's listed.  However they spring for quality barrels for the competition to gain the most accuracy!
