Added powder weight for second bullet and corrected data for bullet length and dia. and more pictures
What bullet is it?
I could find any data on these other that what is posted under the pictures, still looking for more info may have to call, no website...
He may cast his own, not sure. He does sell a ton of this load in the local shops and everyone that I have talked with is happy with it.
When I spoke to him he was getting them somewhere there in the MT valley. I can't remember the name!
I wouldn't mind getting a few to Chronograph. Anything he is loading up.
I just added and updated some of the info and added more pictures. I was surprised that there is 0.6 grains difference in the two charges and the powder of the second is cleaner looking than the first which has the yellow tint, it also had some fine dust in pan after I removed the powder. I still think it is Accurate Arms #7 which is lighter in color that the older batches in the past.

Fixed that link for you
I like the 200 Grain HCGC bullet being used by Granite Ammunition, but the link to the montanabulletworks.com/38_40.html#2873 looks to be a different bullet...
I was just thing the same thing. That's the only local place I can think of though.
He seemed like a nice guy that will tell you. At the time he told me ;)
Unfortunately, Dave at MTBW has had to close up shop. I think he is just selling what little stock he has left, if he has any left. He has put MTBW up for sale. I have seen a small sample of his molds and I will tell you what...I seriously needed a wetnap :o
I wonder if he is getting them from Rimrock Bullets in Ronan...
Going Ballistic Bullets in Lolo MT is where he is getting them from
Anthony sent some mold designs over. I forwarded them to The Shadow and we might end up with something equal to, or even better!
That sounds good to me. I like the fact that Granite Ammo is closet to me but looks like loads maybe inconsistent. If PBR gets this load going I will buy from them.
