What cave did you find those Frontier Cartridges in LOL
Look forward to your review and info.
Justice 180 FMJ are reman's
Remington are subsonic
Hornady Look to see if there is any markings like (PROOF LOADs) I hope they are just sealed primers.
Last but not least FEDERAL the SPL raises a concern (special loads) ? ???
I plan on putting these in the next package and send them all to you Monday. I think I will wait to see what you find in the pull-downs before running them next weekend ;)
IC that sounds good, I know at one time Hornady did make some proof loads but usually the box was clearly marked as such.
The Federal with the SPL is intriguing, I would wonder if they were part of some contract ammo that they turned loose to the public sales. ???
The Federal looks very similar to some 357sig loads I bought a few years ago at a gun show, $14/bx 50. IIRC, they too had the 'SPL' designation. At first I thought they may be a 9x25, but they weren't. A buddy of mine fired them first through his G31; then I let'm rip through my G32. At the time I was shooting some Georgia Arms Canned Heat; so my comparison is they were hotter than the Canned Heat, but didn't reel excessive. They did throw a flame. :D

This government contract overrun manufactured by Federal has been made available to the public. This ammo provides the performance you would expect from Federal and it is available at a competitive price making it ideal for range training to help lower your cost of shooting what is generally a more expensive caliber.
This product is brand new, brass-cased, boxer-primed, non-corrosive, and reloadable. It is a staple range and target practice ammunition.
This is top of the line, American-made range ammo made by ATK (same company that makes Speer Lawman, CCI, Blazer Brass, etc) - it doesn't get any better.

Muzzle Velocity (fps) 1030
Muzzle Energy (ft lbs) 425
They all seem okay then. I will run them all Monday!
Looking forward to the results. I ran into an armourer who had another version of the FBI hollowpoint, a 180 grain version which was different than the 190 grain version I had. Said he got them from an older FBI agent who still has some left in stock.
Anyway, he claimed 1275 + fps velocity from them. I shot a mag out of his Kimber and I don't think so. They didn't feel weak, but nothing even close to what we are used to from Underwood or PBR.

So...ATK is still currently manufacturing this ammo for the FBI?

I changed the Hornady results to Unknown. These don't appear to be what was in the package and another batch will be sent to me. Still interesting data!
