If only his daughter married a better shot.
Wonder what the fortune is if Dad dies... ;D
Okay at was bad thinking on my part. This is what happens when you put a non-combatant in a bad situation. He was definitely panic shooting, probably target fixating on his father I law while trying to 'aim' at the bear. My initial thought as I read was that the shooter was putting rounds through the bear in a non-lethal hit and into the father in law. Then as I read, relished, no, he missed the bear completely and hit the father in law. The epiphany hit about target fixation. Something that happens to motorcyclists in bad situations that cause them to hit what they are trying to avoid. You are trying to avoid it, but concentrating so hard on that specific object, maven if it is in your peripheral vision you end up hitting it.
How's that go...
Kill em all! Let God sort it out.
I don't have to out run the bear, I just have to out run you.

What is the absolute best grizzly bear caliber of all?
Answer: The .22 short. Just shoot your wife in the knee and run like hell. :))
