I'm trying to get the ammo to shoot in my pistols plus have The Shadow pull a couple down. Just like in 10mm... I think it's the pistols!
Since I am not a member there I can't view the pics of the brass. Seems like the consensus is the gun is firing out of battery though.

Not really.
A bunch of new enthusiast think since AR's are tinker toys that you can assemble from a bag of parts to a running, safe gun in 20 minutes, the same must be true for other cool guns.
And, if you have a bag of properly fit parts for a 1911, you can. But you can't go buy parts that will properly fit. Putting off the shelf parts together into a safe, reliably 1911 takes a ton of know how.
Based on this thread it sounds like this guy built the 1911 himself, and didn't get some fitting right. Probably an issue with a disconnector that is a little too short. I didn't read the whole thread, maybe a guru there did a real diagnostic for him. Regardless, that gun isn't right, and since he built it best he could, he probably doesn't have the know how to fix it.
I always hate it when the first finger gets pointed at the ammo >:D

MKE – Brass was being used?

Also the ZVS 124gr FMJ had the same looking powder
It looks like the gun is either unlocking way to early
As I went back into my powder pictures I found a picture of the LoveX powder that sort of matches, I don't know if their other powders have similar looks, kernel shapes what have you...That's the trouble with the foreign powder types. Not much in my database.
But as I did a little "google fu" this evening I found a LoveX reloading PDF to download and add to my files. That PDF can be found here...

I have heard locally at the range by a few of the "Race Gunners" of some of the ZQ1 being oversized at the crimp or in the OAL. They allege to measuring and sorting rounds into batches. They use the steel plates next to where I would be for my IHMSA matches. I assumed since they were mic'ing rounds there at the range to make sure the boxes they had marked were correct...that they might actually know something...

Guy seems to be insisting it's the ammo, not the gun. But I don't see how it can't be the gun.
I have to also wonder if his bore isn't fouled say with leading...
I've never seen cases bulge so much without rupturing. It's crazy, those 9mm cases must be pretty strong.

Soft or Malleable I think is the more accurate terms.
There was a guy at Walmart this morning talking someone out of buy the ZQ1 9mm. His claim was the poor consistency of the crimp was causing the cases to headspace shallowly, and in some guns this was causing excessive case bulge as too much of the case was outside of the support of the barrel. More than normal for unsupported chambers. He claimed to be a local gunsmith but did not have any cards on him ::) His comment did have merit, but made me wonder about lock up if that much of the case was hanging out.
