Yep, I'm in one of the red zones, I guess it's my fault!   ;D

I protest these findings - theres no way that a top southern state like Georgia could be possibly left out - We are the #1 pro gun state around ( Florida don't count - too many holes in the punch cards)

Why are the numbers so low? None in the high 90s. :)

No mention of how they collected their data, I wouldn't put much faith in the article one way or the other.

It is based not on the number of "Registered" firearms in a County, but the number of "Registered Owners"

So if you have a county where there are a large number of firearms passed down through family, and no one has purchased a gun requiring an FFL transfer, or a back ground check, then it doesn't get counted. So if a bachelor has 20 guns that he bought new in the last 2 years, he only counts as "1" person, but say a family of 4 decides to buy a new gun each, and each does the background check, that counts as 4 even though they are the same household.

That's an interesting map but I was surprised that there were no counties in Texas or the midwest??

My point I made on another thread. Data is questionable.
