My PBR order got a little jacked up and I ended up with the 180gr Premiums instead of 165gr JHP's. No harm done, as I don't believe these have been documented yet. I will have the 165's and new 200gr Beartooth rounds in about two weeks to test out. I lucked into a box of the HSM 180's as well to see what's inside.

In this period of limited supplies, it would be interesting to look inside! ;)
I was supposed to have a couple of boxes on hold of the HSM, but, got stuck at work until after closing, so was unable to get them.
The PBR Premium Line is their step under Nuclear V-Supreme Line, but I found it to be very snappy!! It should be comparable to Underwood's "Delta Elite Load". I need to get some weights and see what the pull-down gives, because they are actually hotter than I expected for the rating:
PBR Premium Line 180gr FMJ
EAA Elite Limited 4.75" 1291, 1276, 1300, 1288, 1261. Average = 1283.2 FPS/ 658 LBS
EAA Hunter 6" 1345, 1353, 1307, 1357, 1352. Average = 1342.8 FPS/ 721 LBS
The HSM rounds fell about where I expected:
HSM 180gr FMJ
EAA Elite Limited 4.75" 1068, 1088, 1088, 1077, 1112. Average = 1086.6 FPS/ 472 LBS
EAA Hunter 6" 1154, 1147, 1158, 1134, 1138. Average = 1146.2 FPS/ 525 LBS
Official number for the production PBR 135gr Nosler:
EAA Elite Limited 4.75" 1557, 1560, 1507. Average = 1541.33 FPS/ 712 LBS
Threw a couple of Atlanta Arms 180gr FMJ's down range as well:
EAA Elite Limited 4.75" 1067, 1076, 1030, 1023, 1100. Average = 1061.2 FPS/ 450 LBS
Interesting numbers...with the powder supplies being short it will be interesting to look inside. 8)
The PBR 180 probably shouldn't be that high. I need to ask Anthony about them and also weigh a 165 FMJ just to sanity check the results. The advertised is 1177 FPS which wouldn't jive as well ???
Yeah they were pretty hot.
The PBR 180's I believe are loaded with the HP version's load. When I weighed them, I got 270gr's total versus 250gr's total for the 165's. They are 180's for sure and would probably still be okay in Delta Elite 1911's.
And it is still 650+ foot/pounds of energy.
Not bad..
I ran the PBR Premium 180gr FMJ's again today out of the Hunter.
EAA Hunter 6" 1350, 1349, 1368, 1330, 1349. Average = 1349.2 FPS/ 728 LBS
Last time:
EAA Hunter 6" 1345, 1353, 1307, 1357, 1352. Average = 1342.8 FPS/ 721 LBS
