Title: Sick of the media/news
Post by: Patriot on August 24 2014 08:17:37 AM MDT
I read most news websites daily. CNN. MSNBC, Fox, etc and one thing that has really stood out lately with the liberal news is that they are extremely biased. I am sure you all have noticed this. There are dozens of articles on CNN right now about this situation in Missouri. Dozens. Every article has a comment section where the liberals rant about hating police and crying racism.

But where are the CNN articles about the black kid that shot the white cop in the head and was found guilty last week? Where are the cries of racism there?

Or what about yesterday when a hispanic shot and killed a police chief in Texas? CNN posted a 5 paragraph article and closed the comments after people pointed out their bias.

If a white person (or a "white hispanic" if later proven not white) commits a crime against a minority, it's a hate crime and national news for months.

If a minority commits a crime against a white person, it's just a crime and they deny it could be racially motivated.

It makes me sick.

I try to avoid the twisted news these days, it seems to only serve the communist cause that is raging in this country!
Yes it makes me sick as well!  :'(

I try and avoid as much of this kind of thing (the news and whatnot) as possible anymore.... to many double standards, to many preaching hate.

No one notices that in the end, all anyone is doing is creating divisons that just reinforce the worst we have to offer.

We live in dismal times. :(

It's all devolved into heart strings, whining, racism bullshit designed to gin up the liberal base (African Americans in particular) about the scary police boogie man.  Never mind 18 yr old Gansta about 10,000 times more likely to be shot by similar aged individual and demographic vs police officer.  Notice as the actual facts have tricked out vs the narrative they want you to buy how the augment evolves?  This went from a "state execution" in broad daylight to its not fair and nothing like this ever happens to a white thug.  Which everyone here (from different backgrounds and parts of the country knows to be BS).  It's George Zimmerman, Trevon Martin part 2.

This is about the midterm election and the need to do something/anything to pump up their base or November will be cataclysmic to them.  As i said before, this was never about justice or fair accounting of this Man's death.  This was and is a lynch mob.  Young Mr. Brown and his family as simply patsies being used by the machine.  Yes it is disgusting.

PS. Does even the palest 300lb Anglo here wonder what the MOST likely outcome of beating a cop and going for his gun, then bull rushing him would be?  Pretty safe bet would be about 6 shots from issued sidearm is my best guess, and the world would never hear your name.

Yep, the media is part of, if not 90%, of the problem.  Simply ridiculous.

Case in point:
Where is CNN, NBC (MSNBC), CBS, Politico, al jezeera, Jesse, Al, Eric, Barack, Nancy on this one?

It is infuriating to hear news reports like " a texas man took the law into his own hands today after an intruder broke down his back door and he shot the man causing him to flee"

He protected his home and nothing more.

Or the constant drone of the leftist media of #if you carry a gun you are a dirty Harry"

First, harry callahan never hurt anyone that wasnt a real bad guy.

Second, im actually just giving myself another option so I can come home safe just like a police officer that carries a gun.

Web News and Blogs, not unlike Broadcast News are skewed by their Politics
CNN, MSNBC, HoffPost, etc leaning to the left
Where Fox, CNS, Blaze, etc to the right
You're forced to read them all, then draw your own conclusion....usually somewhere in the middle   :-\

One is not forced to read anything. One can choose at the moment. Hears my take. A fraud Gov't, a fraud economic system and we are not free. But we are not forced.

"News journalism" should not have a slant. It is supposed to report events in an unbiased factual method. Anything else is a work of fiction. The moment you add a Bias, you are changing the facts of the report to meet your bias. You invariably leave out something tangible. This Country Needs to go back to the Ethics of Journalism that prevented News Seevices from reporting in a biased manner. It used to be, if a paper wanted to have an article with spin, it had to be marked as an Opinion Piece. Sadly in today's Journalism, even a simple report of a fender bender must be considered suspect because someone will have spun the story in such a way as to garner "Clicks/Likes/Shares" etc.

Msnbc is little more than state run media/propaganda for the whitehouse, but don't worry, more people watch Frazier reruns than cnn and msnbc combined.

Remember, the media is a company that wants to make a profit.

In order for them to make a profit and distinguish them from other media outlets is to be the most dramatic. Remember, most of the population thrives on the drama more than the facts. Therefore, the media wants the drama so the can have more viewers, thus allowing them to charge more for advertising. That's the basic way; there are some other avenues in which the media can 'work' with advertising agencies to help out; but that is the basic jest.

So bottom line...remember, the media is not an unbiased, informative outlet....they need the dollars and will do what it takes to get them.

Agreed.

Very few people anymore actually do "reporting."  It is more interpretation and editorializing.  I listen to conservative talk radio as much as I can and am realizing even they are becoming repetitious.  I guess that's a lot better than pushing a B.S. liberal agenda against one's will.
