Pelicans on Parade is a public art exhibit in Slidell, Louisiana, featuring 189 4-foot pelican sculptures hand-painted by approximately 100 artists.
Mission
The Mission of Pelicans on Parade is to raise awareness for public art and artists while showcasing local businesses and raising funds for charity. So far Pelicans on Parade has raised more than $90,000 for Children's Wish Endowment, a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit organization that grants wishes to local children with chronic, life-threatening, or terminal illness.
