I'm looking for my Bren that I stupidly sold in my younger days it had two slides one short one long it should be easy to id because the id# starts with Ral and ends with 83 I forget the numbers in between . Please help if you can. Thank you
Lawson4116, I seriously doubt you will come across that pistol again but you may also want to post your inquiry at the Bren Ten Forum here;http://www.roguechristian.com/brenten_forum/index.php (http://www.roguechristian.com/brenten_forum/index.php)
Usually the serial numbers start with the year (83 or 84) followed by Model (SM, SF, DM, PM, MP, JC) then the 5 digit number
That would be an interesting Bren pistol, was it 10mm or .45ACP. ??? Even if you found it you would have to pay a heahty premium even if it were for sale!
Best regards!
Thanks for replying yes it was a special sereal # i was one of two toolmakers I was more of an apprentice. Anyway after working several years with Tom I was given my Bren with my initials and the date and year I started work there. Yes I'm sure if it where to be found it would be very expencive to purchase from who ever has it. I will check the web site you suggested thank you agian .
That's really cool being part of the company, I suppose yo heard of Tom's passing earlier this year?
QuoteThomas F. Dornaus has passed away Tuesday the 11th 2014. I think he was 71.
I have seen pictures of one which was RJTI for the serial#
No I'm sorry to hear that he's gone. I have tried looking for him but no luck he was a good boss and friend.
He gave me a holster and belt buckle with Bren ten logo on them and some where I have a six inch barrel with a counter weight.
I wish you would post pictures of those items to preserve the history...
If ever you want to consider selling those items let me know, I may be interested, but I'm not a wealthy man but have a passion for the 10mm guns and history.
I was very fortunate to pick up a Standard Model in great shape 12/15/2012

I'll see if I can find the pieces I have. The wood grips look great.
Those were made by one of the members of the BrenTen Forum. I have the hard rubber originals that came with it.
Did you get on the BrenTen Forum? If you want I could post some inquiries for you, but I haven't heard of yours being mentioned. I'd would have liked to see it.
I searched the pictures I have of several Brens, but none of the pictures match yours...Sorry! ???
I post an inquiry on your behalf, over at the Bren Ten Forum, to see if anyone can provide any info for you!
Activity is slower there these days but maybe someone may respond... ???
Thanks shadow . I'll find what I can I think I have an owners manual also.
