I very very rarely get worked up about anything, but this really bites me..... >:(
Sometime last year, the pinhead Korporati at Hornady decided to discontinue their #40077 200-grain FMJFP bullet. I suppose their Profit Margin on that particular product wasn't obscene enough to please them.
I shoot nothing but full-power loads in my Glock 20. If I wanted a Weenie gun I would have bought a .40 Smith. So basically, I got the shaft. Sierra used to make a 190-grain FMJFP, but that too is discontinued. Another issue of profit, no doubt. May the bastards save enough to buy the CEO a new Austin-Healy :-*
I used to hold Hornady in high esteem. No longer. They'll never get another penny from me. Sorry to vent like this, Guys- time to stick my head in the water trough!
Time to look at casting. Then you aren't dependent on what they mfg's sell.
Of course, finding a 6 cavity 200 grain 10mm mold is tough. 2-3 Cavity can be found though.
What's wrong with the Speer 200gr TMJ?

What's wrong with the Speer 200gr TMJ?
These are not found in the Speer catalogue any longer. I heard that Underwood is loading them, so maybe they are still produced for manufacturers. However, I have never found them in component form. Speer dropped that bullet from their latest manual loading data too. I heard it was a very good bullet, so that is too bad.

Montana Gold has a 200 gr CMJ
$330 per 2250 = ~$147/100 if you buy a whole case. $159 if you just buy 1000.
