Title: Armscor and American Quality Ammo
Post by: G20g4 on June 04 2014 12:44:14 AM MDT
Cheaper than Dirt has this ammo in, Armscor is $19.19 per 50. The American Quality is $119.50 per 250. Cheap target loads for those who would like to shoot them, I bought some just for punching holes in paper, definitely prefer Underwood stuff, but this price is pretty good.

That is a decent price for the Armscor.

I have shot around 150 rounds of the american quality stuff without a problem and it is actually pretty accurate, I ordered 250 to try it out because it was cheap after I shot it I ordered another 500 rounds.

Get it while it's hot. ;D. Last several weeks; decent 10mm ammo @ reasonable prices have been plentiful after being nonexistent for previous 3 or 4 months.  Been good opportunity to restock. 8)

I wouldn't buy a thing from CTD. As a matter of fact if they folded up shop I would be all for it.

I still like Georgia Arms for target shooting. .42/shot +shipping.

If they don't have it on the web site as available, don't hesitate to call them, they have been good in getting some produced and shipped out within a couple of weeks. Just my $.02 . ;)

Not a big fan of CTD either.

Ordered 500. Was running quite low. Is the hate for CTD because they price gouged so badly in 2013? I cant say I'm happy about that.

I don't know about the price gouging. Two days before I ordered from them Able had Armscor for 22.96 a box so I ordered 12. Then I got the email CTD had it for $19.19 so I ordered 20 from them. Both are due at my house tomorrow. So CTD seems to ship faster.

Exactly. The ridiculous prices then and stupid shipping charges on top of it.

I try not to get mad at my money. ;).
I certainly haven't forgotten nor approve of the way they conducted their business in 2013.  However, within last month I've seen Armscor 10mm for sale for as much as .60 a round. >:(!  For the moment, this merchant offering it at $.38 cents per; OK, dumb $2.00 handling fee which adds $.04 per if only buy 1 box.  4 boxes and it's a .01....  $.39 still better by decent margin than anyone else right now.  Haven't seen prices like that in 6 months.

I wouldn't walk across the street to do these guys a favor but I'm ok with using them when they extend killer deal.

There are excellent suppliers that actually deserve my business.  I'll stick with them, just like they stuck with us during the tough times.

Shady Business Practice. A number of people had placed orders that had not shipped yet when 'The Panic' hit. Our orders were canceled by CTD, only to have the ammo we had ordered re-listed at the escalated prices.

I get making a buck. If someone is willing to pay your price fine. But don't sell to me, charge my CC and give me a shipping date, then cancel the order just so you can sell that same promised and paid for product to someone else for a higher price.

If cheap is the only goal, that CTD ammo is you. Then again though, just shoot .40 because some of that has performed better (plus cheaper).
