Title: Need Help Pricing a S&W 1076
Post by: StockIIBoss on May 28 2014 03:10:39 PM MDT
So I have one of these guys and it's pretty sweet, but thinking I need to move it to make room/cash for more 'stuff.' I'm not a collector, although I've been sorry about that for years when certain firearms that I've owned became valuable. Like my nickle Colt Python. Drats! But who knew way back then, right?

Anyway, I have a basic non-FBI issued 1076 with a couple of mags and all in good condition. Mine has been modded with a spur hammer, which is pretty nice to have, but probably takes away from the 1076 heritage? It has the usual light scuffing you'd see with a holstered gun, but otherwise is great condition.

Have I got anything, and what should I be asking for it?

Well the market for the S&W 10xx is getting quite busy over the last few months, this is on the news that S&W is no longer providing parts for these guns.  Many are being sold and showing up on the various websites like GunBroker, Guns America, GunAuction, etc.  I have seen some in the $650 range depending on conditions.

Value at $750, if you have the original box, papers, tools $800-$850, I have seen some in excellent shape go a little higher.
