Title: Fired Some More Underwood Today
Post by: 4949shooter on May 04 2014 01:34:07 PM MDT
100 rounds of 165 grain TMJ. As we know this load is hot. I let two of my friends shoot a mag and they didn't want to shoot it anymore. My buddy's 17 year old son shot a few mags which put a big smile on his face.

I checked all the brass I could find, and there were no pressure bulges or smiles. As I have stated in the past, I believe I have a well supported stock Glock barrel. In speaking to my buddy about this load, he feels this load was more potent than the Buffalo Bore 180 we shot a couple of weeks ago. According to the sheet, the Underwood 165 load puts out over 700 foot pounds of energy, which according to Shadow's chart classifies it in the nuclear level.

I also fired 80 rounds of CCI Blazer without issue.

So that's it. I figured I would offer some feedback for the shooters who are considering loads for their 10mm pistols.

I hope everyone had a good weekend.

 A good barrel is key.

No doubt.

Have we heard of any pressure issues with this load?
