Title: New toy in the making
Post by: harleyhopper on April 30 2014 02:55:11 PM MDT
Well, seems I'm the proud owner of a Kimber Eclipse Custom 2 in 10mm. Not a new one but slightly used. Just found out I won the bid.  This will go along with my RIA 10mm. Oh, my.....which one will I shoot today? Steve

The answer is both. My Rock Island is noticably heavier than my Kimber let me know if you find the same.

Yes. I really like my Rock. I like it even more since I polished the flats on the slide, frame, trigger and hammer. Shoots most FINE! I really had no business getting the Kimber but it's been on my list for a while. I really thought about getting it in .45 but I'm finding I shoot the 10 far more than the .45 I have. It's an old Argentine .45 but it is in excellent shape with redone trigger and sights.
Probably won't receive the Kimber until next week but.... I waited this long. Steve

I gave up my .45 1911 to thin out calibers and to justify my kimber.

Yes Sir. Just have to be patient.
Yes, I had to shed some calibers, to I,  to help in the funding. My Glock 22 .40 caliber had to go. Just hated the trigger even after polishing all of the movement.
But, now that I've got a new toy on the way, I have to keep peace and give the Boss Lady some spending money. I'm keeping the 1000 rd ammo order quiet from Ga Arms. Steve

No no no, I kept my Springfield Armory 1911A1 GI when I bought my first two 10mm's.
