Title: What is your 'most wanted' firearm acquisition?
Post by: Zephyr on April 09 2014 07:42:55 PM MDT
I'm looking really hard at a CZ-75B, or a Walther PPQ in 9mm.

For me, depends on which way the wind is a blowin'. Although most folks know me as a S&W 3rd Gen 10mm fan, I actually love single actions. I'm currently building a couple and have custom leather in the works. I have guns that I thought I'd never own but if I had to pick something off the top of my head it would be a Texas Longhorn Arms 44 special.

Right now I would like to find a good quality 20" 1:7 twist HBAR AR barrel that takes a .750" gas block in stock.  Can't find anything at White Oak quality/price and White Oak is several months out if I order.

Might be a bit boring but BFR in either 475 or 454.  6.5 inch.  Topped with some kind of smallish sight like a red dot or???  FOR HUNTING 100 YARDS AND UNDER.  or it just might be a ruger SBH hunter in 44 mag.  Leaning towards the hunter as of now.

I have to send off all the components to the smith for a custom XP100 chambered in 6.5x47 Lapua.  I hope for sub 1/2 MOA when its done.

I also have a 10mm barrel on order to add to my T/C Encore pistol setup.  It will be in the 9" to 10" range and should demonstrate what the round is capable of for accuracy and velocity.  Maybe a bit boring loading single shot, but it's my thing I guess.

I also have a 416 Rigby barrel on order for the Encore.  I suppose it would fall under the "here, hold my beer and watch this" catagory except I don't drink much beer anymore.  Whoever claims the most powerful pistol with a 500 Smith will be greeted with an offer to shoot the Big Rig, more energy at 200yds than the Smith at the muzzle :o

I shot a friend's STI Rangemaster over the weekend and fell in love with it.

It's a shame they don't make this model in 10mm.

22LR
20 Vartarg (think 22-250 ballistics and 1-1/4" groups at 200 yds)
6BR
30BR
338-284

I enjoy shooting the specialty pistols at the rifle range and shoot with most of the better rifles.

I just got a 445, my handi rifle got reamed out yesterday.

Most wanted for me would be a couple of mp5, a 9mm sd and a 10mm.

What i may actually be able to afford though is a tavor. Seriously thinking about selling a few to go ahead and get one sooner rather than later.
