Title: first year production Delta Elite
Post by: MacEntyre on April 06 2014 07:56:34 PM MDT
Recently traded a discontinued Ruger for a discontinued Colt. I love it... a real tack driver, one of the most accurate 1911s I have ever shot.
Here it is with new Mesquite grips from Texas Grips.

Those grips really look sharp on your DE. I also have a pre enhanced DE that my wife bought me for my birthday back in 89.

Thank you very much! I wasn't sure if the smooth grips would work well on a 10mm, but they do. It's really not much more of a handful than my Colt 1911 with 250 grain bear loads. ;)

Wish me wifey had given me a DE 25 years ago. It's great that you've had it so long. It's amazing how many people perpetuate the myth that the original DE is a frame waiting to fail... I hear it all the time!
