Post by: mt10mm on March 17 2014 05:15:08 PM MDT
Found this ammo at local gun shop, 180gr fmj flat point loaded to 1150. Will take some pics of the ammo tonight. Loaded with starline brass. They have a few other offerings as well.

If you can pick up a box for me, I will reimburse you for them. Do they have a JHP version?

I'm always game for something new! I know of several other 10mm MFG's but they don't make it near real 10mm. I bet if some of these guys making some decent 10mm put the product out there they would do well.

I spoke with the owner today about what he loads. He loves his EAA Match 10mm  ;D  We got on the subject after he asked what 10mm's I shoot.

Bought 100rds of Granite Ammunition Inc 200gr FNGC. Shoots like DT 200 cast but not sure on the internals.

Don't shoot it in a Glock  :o

It's because of being lead. I shot it through a factory glock barrel with no problems.

Yeah...when I get some hardcast from BB or UW, I will shoot it through my stock barrel if I don't have an aftermarket barrel by that time.

A little is ok. I just wouldn't put a steady diet through a stock barrel though. Test reliability and then carry when you are camping or hiking. I wouldn't worry about getting an aftermarket barrel unless you're going for a six inch. Stay away from stormlake if you are. I could never get underwood to feed in it which is pretty much the point in shooting hot 10mm ;D

Thats not good...  I have shot up all i had on hand and bought some UW TMJ about a mth ago. I didnt like the inconsistency in the charge.

MT10mm, The 200gr HC's are not an issue he's going to send it back and I'll make them go bang for him...more than likely the primers may have taken a beating while pulling them down. (it can happen, but I think this are the first for me)
Here is the link to that pull down, http://10mm-firearms.com/factory-10mm-ammo-pull-downs/granite-ammunition-inc-200gr-hard-cast-gas-check-pull-down/ (http://10mm-firearms.com/factory-10mm-ammo-pull-downs/granite-ammunition-inc-200gr-hard-cast-gas-check-pull-down/)

BTW the 200gr Hornady XTP's with 9.2gr's Blue Dot, http://10mm-firearms.com/factory-10mm-ammo-pull-downs/granite-ammunition-inc-200gr-hornady-xtp-pull-down/ (http://10mm-firearms.com/factory-10mm-ammo-pull-downs/granite-ammunition-inc-200gr-hornady-xtp-pull-down/)

I sent those also to IC and this were the results he had.
EAA Elite Limited 4.75" 1209, 1215. Average = 1212 FPS/ 652 LBS

One Granite HC and one #9 14.2gr's were the only non-firing rounds.

Yea, It could be that the kinetic pulling process loosened the priming mixture or the primer was bad to start with...good thing is you can send them back.  :D
I'll take them apart and put new primers in them this time around for another try... ::)
