Are the differences just the velocity? or is one using sealed primers/case mouths and flash supressed powder and the other isn't? just looking for the scoop on these two loads.
Which weight?
180gr
There have been previous posts on this topic found on this forum. Relaying information I've seen here:
10mm Hunter has been out longer and folks here have chrono'd it @ 1230's feet per sec. 10mm Defender is newer and some folks here say it's a little hotter @ 1270's feet per sec.
Nugent/Pierce Defender says 1235 feet per sec on box.
Nugent/Pierce Hunter says 1238 feet per sec on box.
Couldn't decide so I bought some of both (same price) gunbot.net
External examination... I cant see a difference.

What'd that run you? I've been curious about that ammo but can never get a decent deal on it.

Best deal I found was $17.95 for box of 20 (Hunter & Defender) at Rare Ammo out of S. Louisiana. http://www.rareammo.com/catalog/product/351e09fb97704e5eaee9d8b482404853
I found them on gunbot.net
Shipping was reasonable as well... $8.95 for ground delivery of 2 boxes (think I picked up couple other calibers to fill out order too). Shot a few and liked them, so I ordered two more boxes.
Unfortunately $.90 a round (before shipping) for a 180 grain, full power round constitutes a pretty good deal ??? but it's far and away best deal for good factory JHP using a Speer bullet I've found in 2 or 3 months.
