EAA pistols are the type you move on when the deal is good. If you wait too much, they are gone!

They had a global price increase a few months back and it was pretty stout. Not so sure you'll find anymore 'deals' unless they're used. That is, unless people react by not buying them, which always seems to work.

I paid $800 for my StockII, and $430 for a full size Witness Steel, both new 10mm's.

Check out cheaper than dirt. I set it to notify me when they have the Hunter back in stock. Prices are decent.

I just bought a Limited Pro on GA for 819.00. I should have it by Tuesday.
I recommend the Limited Series.

Since I am not able to find one local to handle. Could someone give me a grip comparison between say the Glock 20 and a Match? All the pics I see make the grip look real wide. I have Med. size hands and dont want to make 550.00 mistake.
Title: Re: EAA Match 10mm

No comparison. The grip is not blocky or wide and has one of the most natural feels of any handgun out there.

The Limiteds are the bees knees, but also pretty pricey. It's hard to beat the value of the Match for the money! Due to the heft of the rail most people give the Match the strongest frame nod.

The grip on a Gen4 G20 (roughly the same as Gen3 SF) feels like a 2x4 when compared to my Limited Pro.  I was surprised by how compact the grip was for a double stack!

Really nothing but a $8 Wolff 20-22lb spring out of the box. Adding the $40 Henning Cone guide rod:
http://www.henningshootsguns.com/pages/2009_guiderod.html

and $25 Henning flat bottom firing pin block:

will make it last and last. I had thousands of extreme end 10's through my Match with this setup.

Tell me what areas on the grip you want measured and I will bust out the Pro. You could then compare it to one of your Glocks.

Width measures 1.170"-1.175"
Length measures 2.120"-2.125"

The area where the grip pinches in under the mag release and trigger guard measures 1.925" in length.

The Glock SF is 1.28" wide and I couldn't find the length. I guess none of the owners ever measured one  :o

Found a G17 Gen 4

I have shot a Gen 3 G19 and handled a G20 Gen 4... no comparison and I have small hands as well.

That lower portion marked "A" and "B" is where the Match doesn't grow in dimensions and mainly why the feel is a ton better. It's basically the same size the full length.

I have made the decision to sell off my Glock 10mm's and go with this other platform. Not Glock bashing just think the non plastic frame is the way to go in the 10mm

Lot's of decent running Gen 3's, but I think Steel is the way an almost Magnum round should be paired up.

I recently got a Tanfoglio Limited Pro, and it is one sweet 10mm pistol.  So far, I couldn't be much more pleased.

I was one that got a Gen4 G20 also.  I will say the problems I was having turned out to be more about the aftermarket things I was using, as when I put the pistol back into stock configuration, I stopped having most of the issues.

Which is better...  The Tanfoglio in my opinion.  It should be.  It cost quite a bit more.  Size wise, they are somewhat the same.  The Glock seems thicker and chunkier, but alot lighter.  The Tanfoglio full of heavier ammo is a hefty animal.

I guess I'm a fan of metal.  I like the solid feel.  I like chrome/Stainless and wood grips.  I haven't decided to sell the Glock as of yet, but I do enjoy shooting the Witness more in a range situation.

Bottom line is do what you want, what makes sense to you, what pleases you and don't sweat the decision.  I'm thinking of picking up another Tanfo in 38 Super also, just for kicks.

I still enjoy my other glock. I have a g19 that is one of my favorite handguns but after shooting a match 10mm at the range I knew I had to have one.

I own just a few Tanfo's  ;) and find I shoot them more than any other firearm I own. They are just darned fun!

When I go to the pistol range I always take one with me plus anything else I want to shoot. When it comes to 10mm's, I rarely touch the 1006 because the Witness pistols have better triggers and feel to me. I would do the Henning parts and 20-22lb spring right out of the box.

I've found that just about any holster for the sig p226 works for my limited pro, and the ones for the railed p226 works for my witness steel (with the big rail).

I've been using a Bianchi 19L (for the p226) as a simple hip holster for the limited pro and it fits almost like it was made for it. The only external difference between the match and the limited pro that matters in this case is the trigger guard (rounded on the match and square on the limited pro) and that shouldn't affect fit in the case of the Bianchi.
